You always decide to take an interest in anyone you are attracted to and sex is consensual right? Therefore being a homosexual would have to be a choice right? All sex is a choice. Homophobia isn't a real thing. It was a bigoted slur created by homosexuals to project their own feelings of fear of heterosexuals to try an insult normal people by assigning an imaginary mental illness to them. The use of the term is a defense mechanism. Homosexuals are afraid of being a social pariah and being subject to discrimination. Thus why they hide in the closet, and have to come out. Straight people aren’t hiding in fear of gay people. Gay people are a small minority who’s actions are generally disapproved of even if they are tolerated.

No I don't believe they have much of a choice

I believe it's a form of mental illness but that's not the question

I also don't believe all mental illnesses are really worth trying to fix and I believe being gay is one of them it's just not worth the resources to fix there's not really enough wrong for it to be a big deal so while I believe on a scientific standpoint it's a mental illness I don't believe that we should do anything about it and they should just be like normal human beings and just like normal human beings no means no and they should stop trying to flirt with me when I tell them to not to

I didn't choose to like other women i just always did. Guys never did it for me and, trust me, I have tried to want to like them that way. It just never felt right. Being homosexual isn't a choice though I suppose acting on it is. Who in their right mind though is going to go against their nature and choose to be miserable with someone that doesn't attract them just to make some homophobes happy though?

Men that say homosexuality is a choice are basically giving away the fact that they could easily get hard for men if they chose to, which means they find men attractive but don’t act on that attraction because they think it’s wrong or whatever. It doesn’t surprise me though. Most men are closet gays.

I wouldn´t it´s a choice but I wouldn´t say it´s something one inherits and has no control over either. Because especially porn and other factors can distort what one feels attracted to or not. I therefore it´s somewhere in the middle between being a choice in terms of being controllable by a person and something that´s inherited and you don´t have any control over that.
But I think it will never be found for sure because people will always have differing opinions on this topic because of their own interests.

Homophobic is an inaccurate term. A "phobia" is a fear. Nobody fears gays, lesbians and trans. We find them annoying because they shove their crap down everyone else's throats. They cannot just be content to live their lives how they choose. They insist everyone around them make special accommodations to their lifestyle. That is what makes people get so angry with them. If someone is truly homophobic (meaning they fear LGB and whatever other letter they use) then it is not a choice because a phobia is never a choice. If they are just not tolerant to the LGBT-whatever crap, that IS a choice.

Being homosexual IS a choice as well. The feeling of attraction may not be a choice. A man who loves ass will always be attracted to a woman with a nice ass. A gay man will always have that feeling. However, acting on those feelings is most certainly a choice. A homosexual is someone who actively dates their own gender, not someone who feels that attraction but resists it.

Nope not s choice. They've been telling us for years that gay isn't a choice you're born that way. And as for phobias you don't decide to be deathly afraid of spiders or holes or small spaces, so same for transphobia, you don't chose to be either you are or you aren't.

it is something they learn from parents, friends, their social circle, social media.

Being gay or lesbian or bi is not so much a choice, yes it is coming out but a person can be say a gay guy living in an area where coming out would mean his death.

Feeling attraction to the same gender is involuntary. Acting on those desires is voluntary. Disliking gays is also involuntary but actively discriminating against them is voluntary.
