And girls, which would rather be if you had no other choice (to be perfectly healthy)?
Therw are too girls: One is severely underweight, one is severely overweight (obese). Both have pretty faces. Which one would you rather give a chance if there were no options for fit and/or healthy girls?

Over weight without a doubt. Like you do not understand I cringe each and every time someone is anorexic and she was extremely seeing that pic made me want to cry.
Now being obese isn't healthy either but at least that girl can still stand on her own to feet and it isn't as severe as some people on TV that can't stand/move. That girl still has a body and doesn't look like she's about to drop dead. So being overweight can be somewhat unattractive but that can't take away from a beautiful face and I could look past that vs. me not being able to even look at the other girl.
Yeah and it's kind of frustrating how so many people think that it would be so much easier to get an anorexic girl to eat than an obese girl to lose weight especially considering the girl that you used in your example is literally skin and bones.
It's actually just as hard if not worse I mean if she wanted to eat she would it's a psychological thing. I mean you can't convince everyone to start to live a healthy lifestyle and make change but it's more achievable and especially when you're really overweight it's easier to burn fat than when you're around your healthy weight and just want to drop a few pounds for your physical appearance.
It would probably be easier to get the very thin girl to put on at least 20 pounds to look less freakish.
Obese people tend to gain all the weight they lose back and once they do get to their healthy weight they have skin problems. Both are unhealthy and sad but just for the sake of this question the first option seems better
Yeah it is true. I lost a ton of weight and the skin on my stomach is a tad loose but it's not too bad. Plus I have a bit of stretch marks on my hips and tummy.
Lol that underweight girl looks like rosario dawson in the face. I would choose the over weight girl but I already find thick more appealing than thin. Also it is a little unfair cause you did not show a picture of the overweight girl in her underwear :P
If I had one of these body types myself, I would rather be severely underweight, but as far as dating, I would rather date the overweight person.
If the person is underweight, they probably are suffering for body dis morphia and extreme eating disorders, and those are hard to convince people out of. I feel like I'd be happier with the bigger person because I don't have to worry about them not eating or puking when we're not together. With an overweight person, I would assume that they want to be healthy but just have a hard time making that step. I could motivate them to workout and have my own workout and healthy food buddy. I mean the same could happen with the thinner person, but I just feel like the overweight person would be happier and easier to convince of ridding their bad habits.
I'd rather be severely underweight because its much easier to build yourself back to normal, just help your body get used to eating a lot. But if you're severely overweight thats going to take serious work to get back to healthy.
Hypothetically. I would rather start out as severely underweight. Then I could eat my way to health. I love eating, and it would basically be my job to eat and get healthy again. Though I would be afraid of the long term effects being that malnourished would do to my organs.
The overweight because her face doesn't look "skullyish" and since the overweight one can "fix it" within a year of diet and workout it's easier than to heal a mental disorder...
I would go with the underweight one. Both aren't attractive anymore and while the underweight one looks more... unhealthy, it just looks a tad less unattractive to me than the obese one.
@nalaa it simply bothers me less. that might be because I'm generally a fan of a skinnier body type and I've been naturally skinny for a long time myself.
but most most people with an eating disorder overcome it and get back so a more or less normal weight while many obese people stay like that their entire life.
you need to drastically change your eating habits and start doing sports, which takes both a lot of resolve and motivation. obesity is seen less as a problem than something like anorexia which doesn't make it easier to keep working on it, especially if you do it because other people tell you and not because you see it yourself as a problem.
especially because things like anorexia are recognised as mental disorders it's easier to work on them. that's just my view on it, maybe I'm completely wrong, who knows.
You're sadly mistaken and anorexic girls do have a disease it's called anorexia. Everyone may not want to become healthier and lose weight but many people have accomplished it.
It is extremely hard to get someone that is diagnosed with anorexia to get over it and to eat rather than starve theiself and especially a girl like the QA used an example like omg I've never seen a case that severe.
At least with the fat girl she's not extremely obese and can still stand and move. I'm sure you've seen those shows like my 600lbs life when people can't even get off of their couch. The girl in the photo is like the size of people that go on the Biggest Loser and make a big transition.
Sorry I'm not trying to disrespect your opinion or anything but honestly it's not that simple anorexia is a psychological disease where as being over weight can be changed if you really put your mind to it... That's all.
@DivaMonae anorexia is a mental disorder, not a disease. there's nothing in their biological makeup (like a fast metabolism) preventing them from gaining weight. they more or less choose not to eat or have other means preventing them from gaining weight that they can ultimately control. so yes, it is easier to gain than lose.
people may not want to lose weight and that's a personal choice, but it's not justified. there is nothing healthy about being fat. that's like trying to spin how smoking is a good thing. and changing an inactive and unhealthy lifestyle to an active 1 is easily a lot harder than just simply picking up food and eating it. like, that's not even debatable.
and the fat girl in the picture is extremely obese... i don't know what you're talking about maybe not to you, but to 99.9% of humans on earth and the qualifications, she's obese. those people on the shows are also obese, it's called super obesity (4 classifications over obese and 6 over normal weight).
No I do realize that she's very obese and I used the wrong term I did mean mental disorder and because of that it's not easily achievable. I know they can but it takes a lot to influence them to change their way of thinking or seeing their self as fat, unhealthy, over weight, etc when they're really aren't.
And I agree with you I also mentioned that everyone can't be convinced or want to change their diet or to begin to exercise more. It's not healthy.
The only reason why I think it would be harder to deal with someone with anorexia is the fact that it is a mental disorder and their brain is wired to think that way. You can't just force someone to eat. You can't force someone to exercise either and I know some people eat to deal with their "problems" but they make the choice to have such an unhealthy diet which is exactly why I believe they can make the choice have a healthy diet and to lose the weight that they gained that's all.
The way I see it with obese people you have two options 50/50 you pick up healthier habits or you don't. Where as people with anorexia I'm not sure the exact percentage but many people never get over it and end up killing their self because they're so malnourished.
@DivaMonae ok. it's not easily achievable, but it's easier to achieve. mental disorders are in your head. i have ocd. true that the fact that something is mental makes it hard to do something, but you can get over it relatively easily unless it's something like bipolar disorder or did. also, it's not like people with mental disorders don't know their own irrationality. anorexic people know they're anorexic. the problem is the voice in the back in your head that says otherwise.
but i'm not gonna go into the full psychology. i'll it sum up by saying you can take pills and do therapy for that stuff and almost instant change. with being obese, you can't just take a pill to get over it to become skinny. your body has to do physical movements that it probably can't do. like some fat people can't walk 5 minutes without losing their breath. some fat people don't have the range of motion necessary to do certain exercises to get them healthy. moreover, they have to avoid foods opposed to
... skinny people who have to expand their food pallet. i'm a former athlete (did track for 10 years, football for 3, played ultimate frisbee for 6, rugby for a year, played basketball a lot in college). i was always skinny too. i can tell you that it was a lot easier for me to stop, be lazy and eat (i'm not a huge eater anyways), than me, being 2 years removed from playing any sport semi competitively, trying to get back in shape. and i'm still skinny at 6'3 185 and still mostly muscle. i can only imagine how fucking hard a fat person who never exercised in their life would try to lose weight and become fit.
and for clarification, when i said i ran track for 10 years, i mean i competed nationally. i hate bragging, but i was fucking good coming out of high school. got offers to schools like baylor (one of the meccas of track) and a few sec schools. i wasn't a great runner (i was a jumper), but i could run a sub 50 400 in high school... now, i'm lucky to break a minute (i did 58 on no exercise 1 time)
