Every civilization has built on those before it and around it. The Egyptians originated many ideas and technologies, they also learned many from the Mesopotamian civilizations. Sub-Saharan African civilizations are not part of the direct thread of the history of the world civilization, they are byways. This is not to say they did not do wonderful and interesting things, only that those things are only important to a small minority of local people where the main thread affects nearly everyone. That is why they are considered a specialist study. The same is true of many European cultures, the Irish or Iceland for example. The main thread of modern civilization runs from Mesopotamia, Egypt, India and China to Greece and Rome and thence to Northern Europe and America.

No, the analysis was of the DNA of ancient Egyptian mummies. The average DNA of Egyptians from 5,000 years ago when the early dynastic period began, when their cultural achievements began was 12% sub-Saharan. If they are by that measure a 'black' civilization then by twice that measure 'black' people in the USA are European.

Myself I think it kind of pointless to distinguish civilizations genetically. The ancient Egyptians were what they were. The idea of being proud because you think you share genes with them is kind of silly. The reason for their achievements, like those of the Mesopotamians and Greeks has more to do with the circumstances they found themselves in than with any character given them by their genes. The Greeks undoubtedly achieved great things during the classical age but the same people genetically were nothing but wandering barbarians 500 years before. Genetics may play a part in the rise of great civilizations, i don't know, but I think it plays a subordinate part

Well, no there isn't. Yes, there were many great civilisations founded by sub-saharan African people in the Ancient World, but Egypt was not one of them. Ethiopia, Nubia, and Mauritania are better examples of Kingdoms that were founded by, and ruled by sub-saharan Africans. In the end, most countries with a majority White population are going to focus on their European, which often leaves many cultures left out of Western history. If you look at the "table of nations" from Ancient Egyptian tombs you will see that the Ancient Egyptians portray themselves as looking much like the modern people of Egypt. But just because that particular group wasn't Sub-Saharan doesn't mean that there weren't any great Black civilisations in Africa. Take the Great Zimbabwe, when explorers from Europe discovered the city, they couldn't believe that is was built by the local "savages" and it completely changed their perspective of the local peoples. Also it should be remembered that the Ottomans were known to sell African slaves to Europeans up through modern Libya, that is from where racist ideologies towards Africans developed. Africans were associated with Islam, and Islam was an enemy to the Catholic Church, si therefore in Spanish colonies Africans peoples were suppressed; not because of their features, but because they were Muslim. Only into the 17th-19th centuries did scientific racism come into being. There is no conspiracy against Black people, they simply weren't the ancient Egyptian people. Peace and Love.
