So…. this is where I get lost with this…the right wing spends so much time taunting the left wing, calling them sensitive and easily triggered, accuse them of things like “cancel culture…. and then they go and do the exact same shit. White men don’t need any defending in this country. I mean, I AM one, I think I can speak on this one with some sort of authority, lmao. Right now what you’re seeing is an uptick in POC representation in the media —which was previously gravely UNDERrepresented for the entirety of modern media history— you ever watch Friends or Seinfeld from the 90s? They live in New York City but the VAST majority of everyone they interact with is white? Like that’s just not an accurate portrayal of real life. Maybe you or I don’t feel any type of way over that, or don’t even notice…. but POC’s DO. Whether you want to admit it or not, that has a negative psychological impact on POC’s, especially as children in their formative years. Imagine growing up just thinking there’s something “different” about you that doesn’t quite align with the accepted norm. I don’t know why people are so unable to empathize with that. We’ve turned on the TV our whole lives and seen people who look just like us, we don’t get saddled with insecurities of that nature, because we aren’t made to, not because we’re superior or more emotionally strong.

One thing to remember: humans are extremely emotional and operate almost entirely based off of our emotional responses, despite how much some may claim that they’re “logical” and not driven by emotions, they really ARE, they just don’t even realize it. Even their “logic” is emotionally-inspired in what they’ve sought to prove with their statistics, etc. The most calculating, cold-blooded, uber-logical person you can think of is probably operating off of fear- or sadness-inspired anger or frustration. Anyone who tells you they’re all about logic and facts is a fucking fraud, and they likely don’t even realize their fraudulence. The harder they act, the more pain they’re in on the inside, and I can see right through it.

Can people on the left be “extra” about the shit sometimes? Sure. Everyone bickering on social media with people are idiots, regardless of politics. That’s really the cesspool of our bottom 85% of the population just flapping and clucking in the chicken coop. Don’t let that paint the picture of what’s going on, that’s where morons get their information and learn what opinion to hold in their local area so they won’t be disinvited from the neighborhood cookout over their political opinions. I think we give humans, white and otherwise, WAY too much credit in terms of intelligence, because we’re very emotionally stupid, which leads us to stupidity in other arenas of life.

To be fair, places like FoxNews are very damaging to the positive reception of some of these social changes because they know they’re pitching to a right wing audience and don’t want to piss them off, so they tell them what they want to hear rather than tell what’s really going on. CNN and MSNBC do the same, just opposite. This is an overall indictment of media, not specific to right wing media, but in this particular case, FoxNews is the violator. My dad watches ever night, and what I hear out of the Tucker Carlsons and Sean Hannitys of the world, it honestly almost knocks me out of my seat how off-base their takes on it are. Like I can imagine their writers’ room for these shows: “ok, some stuff happened that isn’t really that big of a deal, but we need to spin this in a way that our audience, who only tunes in to yell “yeah, fuck the libs!” at the television, can be whipped into a froth by characterizing what’s happening in the worst and most dramatic way possible.” So I really blame media for driving us this far apart, because on the other side of the coin, not all of these problems are just bald-faced racism from white people. I think we just need to understand each other better, and sadly, no one seems to want to try.

This is a complicated issue. There is definitely a growing prejudice towards white people. People have a lot of problems and white people are being blamed for them due to a complex variety of social and economical reasons. The strange thing is this is happening in majority white countries. The idea being that white people hold an unfair advantage and engage in racist discrimination in order to retain the advantage. The truth is this isn't the case at all. It is actually the minorities which resent white people due to jealousy and a feeling of inferiority which is natural in an environment where you're in a minority. However, one of the reasons this is happening is because majority white countries are the ones which are the most culturally malleable and socially progressive. So white people are actually very accepting. Despite that, there is now a kind of subliminal jostling for dominance over these progressive societies and minority groups are exploiting white people's generosity and using it against them. A lot of the racism being perpetuated by minorities towards whites, is actually being supported by the whites themselves.

The group psychology in this is too complicated for me to fully explain and to be honest, I would rather not get into it.

I reject that racism toward blacks is "foundational" to the U. S. Although, I agree that it's an important aspect. What about the treatment of women, for God's sake? Talk about foundational. But I would argue that U. S. imperialism is more foundational. There is also the role of the global banking system. Oh, but schools are never going to teach you that stuff.

I was around during the civil rights era when segregation was being challenged. I participated in marches and am a strong supporter of civil rights. I also have a perspective on how much progress has been made since the 1960s. There is no comparison between then and now. The problem with this recent uproar about racism is, it's hyperbolic and ignores that progress. It is deliberately manufactured to divide people because that's what the ruling class wants. They are the ones who are actually behind this black versus white conflict.

I just used the case involving black people as an example but even the creation of the USA was made due to the enslavement, mistreatment, and mass murder of Indigenous natives.
