Why do Hispanic men tend to like white women?

Obviously, not all of them do, most people prefer their own race, everything depends on the individual, most men like most women, variety is the spice of life, and you could just as easily ask why white men like Hispanic women. There just seems to be a fascination among Hispanic men toward white women that I just don't understand. White women tend to be paler than Hispanic women with thinner, lighter-colored hair and slighter proportions and also tend to age poorly. Of course, these are generalizations, and everyone has their preferences. I don't mean to suggest that it's like a competition by comparing the two. I just don't understand it.

I'm a Hispanic guy that has dated mostly white girls. Why? I've lived my life in a predominately white town. My parents moved out of the predominately Hispanic neighborhood into a white one when I was young. That became my surroundings. It's out of circumstance for me. I would admit that it built into a preference I guess, but it was out of real world experience from a young age, not things people will say here like 'the media' or a 'fetish.' (most people don't know what I real 'fetish' is.) Also, the feelings seem to be mutual in my case. White girls are the ones that approach me or show interest first, the vast majority of the time. Just to note, all the 3 of my older sisters dated and married nothing but white men.

There tends to be some strong cultural differences that effect that. Generally white women come from a culture that make them easier to manipulate. Hispanic men come from a culture where the men are expected to cheat on the women. This is why they are so protective of their women. These guys assume other men are going to do the same to his sisters, that they do to other women. White women however misunderstand this and assume this means they must actually have a greater respect for women, when in fact it is the opposite.

Hispanic women know about the type of games these men play, whereas most white women simply aren't prepared for the level of disrespect in that culture.

Thank you for your opinion, but I'm from the Deep South where most men are very respectful toward women because that's what they've been taught by their fathers to be. They are also very protective of women, especially the women in their families. I don't know much about Hispanic cultures, but most Hispanic men seem to act the same way as white Southern men in public, holding open doors for women and things like that. Are they all less respectful in private?

@Asker Most of the Hispanic men that I have been around for any length of time eventually started bragging about cheating on his woman, how they were stringing several women along at once as if it made them more manly. Of the ones that didn't brag openly about it, eventually they still got caught cheating. I have never known any that were faithful. So in that way they come across as very disrespectful. I am sure there must be exceptions, but it is a very common problem in that culture.

Despite what the PC police would have us believe there are positives and negatives in every culture. This just happens to be one of the negatives in that still exist in that particular culture.

I don't want it to seem like I'm ganging up on anyone but I "have" to say something here.
First, I'm mestizo but not Latino; my Cuban aunt is whiter than I am. I live in Los Angeles and visit Mexico a lot.

So in my little apt. building I had two friends, but Mexican men and both illegals. The first leaves the El Salvadorian woman he has been living with for 22 years and runs off with his compadre's wife who also lives in the building. And I literally mean compadre as he was godfather to his friend's child. The wife was Mexican the husband from Costa Rica.

The other guy is a real Don Juan. He's living with one woman for years and has two children with her, meanwhile he has multiple girlfriends. Before he broke up with the woman he had kids with he would meet one Latin girlfriend in the apt. of the El Salvadorian woman who lost her boyfriend. This was of course because he couldn't take her home...

Most "Hispanics" in the US are not white. There is reason we use this pseudo racial distinction in the first place. Because most US "Hispanics", people of lineage from south of the border, are BROWN. Due to some, or no racial mixing between Caucasians, Native Americans, and Africans. Trust me, the majority US Hispanics do not call themselves white, do not look white, nor feel comfortable with the idea of being called 'white'. Real 'White Hispanics' are a particular small minority in the US, and they are a minority in most Latino countries.

@LThunder Just because someone is brown doesn't mean they aren't still Caucasian (which is what I meant). Brown Caucasians do exist. Hell I'm considered black but I'm rather light skinned. Not all blacks are dark. Same thing. Not all Caucasians are pale, pasty, white. Some are brown. Most Hispanics don't call themselves white. You're right. That's why on job applications there's the option for Hispanic/Latin. Otherwise they'd just put white. However, just because you don't identify as something doesn't mean you aren't still such. I don't identify as African American. Typically on job applications though they'll put African American/black. Why? Because again some of us don't identify as African American.

I do agree that the real pasty looking white Hispanics are a minority, but Latins could very well be considered white. Most Latins in the US are either white or some form of Native American.

Again, the vast majority of so called "Hispanics" in the US are not "WHITE." That is a FACT. We wouldn't use that distinction otherwise. "Hispanic" is an old, obsolete word that was used by the Nixon administration to account for all the immigrants of Latino ancestry that are clearly not purely black, white, or Native American. Because the vast majority are MIXED.

It is not used in the US to mean European, or 'Spanish' European origin, it is a placeholder ethnic/pseudo-racial, term to account for the fact that the vast majority of Latino immigrants are of mixed race lineage, and their mother language is Spanish. Therefore the term Hispanic is used. Ethnically, a Hispanic can be 'white', but that is not really the reason that term is used in the US. It would be like dividing Irish and German into different ethnicities even though they are both 'white.' The vast majority of 'Hispanics' in the US are not fully white. Otherwise we would never use this distinction. Most of the US Hispanic population are Central Americans, 'mestizo' (Euro/Amerindian) and 'mulatto' (Euro/African). Not 'white.'

I don't think Hispanics are white but the US government keeps telling us they are when it suits their purposes like when reporting crime (think George Zimmerman) and divorce statistics. The US government also shows Hispanics separately when it suits their needs such as when showing poverty rates, educational differences etc. Many Hispanics have Indian blood in them from Incas and Aztecs etc as well as blacks.
