Recent Study says, black people have more estrogen than white people?

It's long been believed that black people have more testosterone than white's but the opposite is true. Apparently Mexican men have the most testosterone, then white and black men make around the same level with black men making more estrogen. This makes sense in the fact that black men and women tend to have less body hair.

"Elevated levels of estrogen adversely affect the development of male secondary sexual characteristics, often halting hair growth"

With black women, they make more estrogen and testosterone than white women comparatively, so they make more male and female hormones in general to where it balances out. Which makes sense with their libido being higher and more muscular frame while with the estrogen making of the widening of their hips and fat in breast and the butt. The increased estrogen production also accounts for the increased risk in black women to have develop fibroids as well as why many have exaggerated sexual features. Ex: Full lips, big eyes, big breast, wide hips, large butts. They also tend to begin their period at earlier ages. Then with the increased testosterone making their frame larger and their sexual libido greater.

“It is known that before menopause, African-American women have a higher breast cancer risk than whites, as well as higher estrogen levels,” Setiawan says. “It would be interesting to find out why their elevated rates do not persist after menopause, despite having comparatively higher estrogen levels.”

It may be true, but they do say in the paper that this study was in response to other studies that have said something different, so there will have to be further studies to corroborate this one. They're just saying they got different results from what's currently out there.

Also, it's not accurate to go extrapolating and asserting all kinds of other things from that study which they didn't mention. This is about prostate cancer, and other diseases with racial disparity. However, there's no evidence presented that even if there is a level of estrogen difference, it is significant enough to be responsible for a lot of the other things you're talking about; body hair, libido, body features, etc. That's just pure speculation.

The other studies were during the early 1900's, an era where "science" was usually biased and made to where black people were wanted to be portrayed as more animalistic and violent. so they usually deduced they have higher testosterone levels.

All from pretty recently, not the early 1900's. I'm not saying this study is wrong, just that there are several conflicting studies.

No, the other studies suggested that there wasn't much difference between white and black men, however they didn't take other things into consideration. Such as age and lifestyle of said participants. This study grouped men of similar age groups and did varying test in each.

It seems like you're back-tracking now... First you said those other studies are just from the 1900's and tried to portray black people as more animalistic, but now you're saying they really are current studies but they show there was no difference and weren't executed as well. Have you read them? According to your study is says, "We cannot confirm observations of a difference in circulating testosterone concentration between African-American and Caucasian men as reported previously in some studies" - that indicates there were differences found in previous studies.

Regardless, we need more than one study to confirm this, and the paper encourages that too. Always good to have more data and research before making conclusive statements.

I'm not backtracking. Most of the studies were done in the 1900's and tried to portray blacks and animalistic thereby saying they had higher testosterone levels. I never said other studies weren't done, however even the ones that were done recently before the 2007 study were done inaccurately and of the ones that were done they didn't take into consideration age and lifestyle of the participants. As I said before, most of the studies quoted in the article showed that testosterone level wasn't much different between white and black men, so even then the results aren't off, what they noticed a difference in was the amount of estrogen levels.

I'm basing my conclusion off simple observation. Less body hair, more feminine features, (wide hips, large butt, breasts) all of these are signs of high estrogen levels. Unlike most of the people who have answered they can't list one "masculine" trait black people have that isn't cultural instead genetic. Violence and aggressive behavior is cultural and not based on race or genetics.

You're basing it on speculation and untested observations. I haven't seen any evidence that wide hips, a large butt, and big breasts are a sign of high estrogen levels - in fact the idea of those things being feminine are also quite culturally based, and differ among cultures too. I've heard large breasts and a small hip to waist ratio correlates with higher fertility, but that's it.

You don't know much about science do you. Estrogen is correlated with fat wand weight gain around thighs, waist, hips and breast growth, as well as puberty in women. Therefore the more fat you have in those areas, the more estrogen a person is producing typically

I'm showing you scientific evidence and backing it up with simple plain observations. Black men in general tend to have less body hair. There is no real proof of them producing more testosterone when physically looking at them. No body hair, typically shorter than white men, etc... With black females its the same. No body hair, gain weight in thighs, hips, waist, butt, higher rate of fibroids, begin puberty earlier. All these are key clues to them producing more estrogen typically.

full lips are a universal trait of females. However, the estrogen is more due to body shape and lack of body hair as well as them usually having wide hips, big breasts, large butts, etc.. They also tend to begin their period earlier due to large amounts of estrogen

That's what previous studies have shown. It supposedly also explained why they get prostate cancer at higher rates. Another theory was that black are just more sensitive/reactive to whatever testosterone they do have.

I guess part of it is also due to their appearances and voices seeming more masculine as well as them seemingly being more inclined towards agressive behavior. It just made sense to me that they had more testosterone :/

By the same token I would have fuessed Asian men have lower levels of testosterone.

Previous studies showed that black men and white men have similar levels of testosterone. Not that one had more than the other. Black men actually have more feminine appearances. The darker the skin only makes their body appear more muscular, however deep voices are universal and in any race. Usually full lips and lack of body hair (which is prominent in black male's ) is a sign of high estrogen amount. Aggressive behavior has nothing to do with race. It's cultural. Your racist mindset distorted your view of reality

As far as hair, I believe part of it is how receptive the follicles are to certian hormones. Testosterone levels are a factor but I dont think its the only factor.

Statistically they do commit violent crimes at higher rates and testosterone is linked to agression.

Statistically they commit higher crimes, because they are statistically poorer. Poor people in general all over the world will commit more crime. Again that is cultural. Not because they are genetically predisposed to being more violent
