None of the white women in my life are interested in me at all and research shows that white women are least likely to respond to black guys on dating websites. And okcupid have done surveys of thousands of people and they've found that white women consistently think that black men are less attractive than men of other races... I live in a majority white neighborhood, so it's difficult for me to find non-white girls. I just want to know why?

Because that's just how it is. White and Latino men historically have had the lion's share of women, since the media glorifies them a lot. Look who's portrayed as the hero in films? White men. Look who's constantly on Vogue magazine? White or Latino men.
It's not just black men, East Asian, Middle Eastern and South Asian men get rejected too. Having a darker skin tone doesn't exactly get the ladies in this Westernized society.
And there's also the stereotypes of black men portrayed as either the thug, the brainless athlete, the rapper, etc. And when they're portrayed positively, they're often the black best friend or the magic negro who helps the white protagonist but fades away when this hero/heroine accomplished the goal.
The media has a powerful hand in how dating comes out. It sucks, I know, but that's life. White and Latino men are usually the first choice, while black, East Asian, Middle Eastern, and South Asian men are considered lesser choices because we have darker skin and stereotypes.

Do you know what "Hispanic" means? The term originated in Spain. The country that is white. Spain colonized most of South America, and now we have "Latinos" from "Latin America". Most Latinos have a very large amount of European (Spaniard) blood. For instance, Mexicans are a mix of European, Mayan, or Aztec. It is not uncommon to find Mexicans who are entirely white.

You happen to live in a country that is primarily white and secondarily Hispanic. That doesn't mean *no white women* will ever date you. This is just talking about *preference*. People are naturally more attracted to others of their own race and culture. That's not to say everyone is, but on the average a person's genetic background shapes what sort of mate they find the most appealing.
Let's say there is a woman whose entire family history is made up of Caucasian and Eurasian decent, that makes a few thousand years worth of her ancestors all mating within their own heritage.
To top that, the most common race in a culture (Usually this is the race which is considered in charge of the society) is considered the most attractive, and beauty standards are set around the underlying bone structure of the skull that is attributed to that race.
There is a great deal of things that go into attraction, and most of those things can be answered from an anthropological standpoint.
In short, in the United States, melting pot or no, the race that has been socially dominant has been a bunch of white people, as such our society is more attracted to white people.

I'm attracted to my race the most. It has nothing to do with black people. I feel the same about other races. It's not against them. It's just who I am. I didn't choose to be attracted to certain traits - like brunette hair or darker eyes on guys. Or that I really like longer hair on men. It's just part of me. And no, I don't think black men are ugly or something either. I can recognise a physically attractive black, Asian, Hispanic etc guy.

Most people prefer their own race. There's no conscious reason, they just find them more attractive. Maybe it's down to genetics. Although thinking about it even if you grow up in the same area you'll have some differences culturally so that probably plays a role.
