Why are RN's (nurses) so arrogant, if they're basically maids?

The arrogance that RN's tend to have makes me sick. Coming from a family who has practicing physicians, and many close friends who are doing their residency... i have never seen a doctor be so damn arrogant, but for some reason RN's find it in themselves to be arrogant, when they're nothing but the help.

"nothing but the help" -- that's very disrespectful and arrogant. If they physicians in your family have the same attitude, it's no wonder they don't have good relationships with the nurses.
