A strong sturdy people that have a lot of BS to deal with. I've heard lots of bad things about the total lack of social welfare, and how it's nearly impossible to get into a higher station in life. Three great online friends have died over the last year because they couldn't get basic medical attention.

Aus, UK, NZ, most Canadians seem to lack the attributes that makes them foreigners to one another, which I think is a good thing. It's like somebody from your own country with a different accent, we like the same things, talk about the same things etc.

Example - if you put those nationalities together at a party, where they haven't met each other before, there isn't any awkwardness, walking on eggshells etc - this is more than just a language thing.

I love Aussies, you meet a ton of them working the ski hills out west here. Seem pretty chill and definitely fun to hang out with, but that accent is impossible to take seriously. They could be screaming the worst insults I can imagine at me and I'd still be laughing.

IMHO Northern Europe is comprised of the 5 Nordic countries & the 3 Baltic countries. Western Europe is UK, Ireland, France and Holland.

The dating culture in Norway.. I can't speak for the entire country but I know that several of my friends have 'things' for different foreign looks (myself included) and I've grown up in liberal areas with liberal parents so I've grown up being told that there isn't really any difference except culture.. so the only thing that matter is if Im attracted to them/like them.

Well, yes and no.. its getting more normal as the second and third generation is growing up, but that its not so much of it has more to do with religion than that they are foreign looking..
