Is A Teacher a Sexy Profession?

What are some sexy jobs that someone can have? Is it all about money or is it something else?

Professions can be considered sexy if you make a lot of money or have a lot of power. People also like jobs that suggest the person has intelligence, ambition, charisma, and are successful.

I think teaching is sexy profession because it suggests the person is intelligent (though how smart you need to be varies depending on the level you're teaching at), and cares about young people. I think there's also the teacher/student fantasy that a lot of people have (i.e. the teacher "teaching" the naive student about sex, or the student seducing the teacher for a good grade, etc.). A lot of people have crushes on their teachers in school. While likely you aren't dating anyone who is actually one of your students, its still kind of sexy if your partner is a teacher even if they aren't YOUR teacher.

Personally, I'm a nurse and a lot of people think of nursing as a sexy profession (even though its actually a pretty gross profession, lol). I think people think it's sexy because people think of the traditional nurse (i.e. in a sexy white dress), and someone who takes care of them and does a lot of intimate things to/for them (I can't count the number of times people have asked me for a sponge bath when I've told them I'm a nurse, lol).

Keep in mind though, that the image people have of someone in a particular profession does not always mean that that person actually fits that image.

I don't really think of teachers as sexy per say. Intelligence is what's sexy.

And usually, intelligent people have high-paying careers. Like the stereotypical great looking dentist, surgeon, etc. Usually medical professions have sex appeal to me.

I just don't see teachers as sexy because that's kind of weird to look at your mentor like that? I don't know.

Theres more to being a teacher than just the job security or the pay. It's the care for our youth. I'd say a teacher whose desire is to help raise young people in a respectable manner is considered very attractive.
