I don't think I would call myself a feminist but I don't want to assume things about all feminist just based on the acts of a couple of them

Feminism is just another way to be oppressive towards men. I respect all women because a woman is a mother and gives birth but I do not respect an organization that tries to oppress men. Two wrongs don't make a right. If you want true equality look into humanitarianism and communism. However keep in mind that humans are naturally greedy and vicious so equality can only go so far. I bet if this world was run by women then women would find a way to abuse men like men did to them long ago and still do.
Feminism is no longer about equality, though it began that way. Feminism is really driven by lesbians who resent men in general. A lot of this resentment is sexual in nature. A lot of more butch lesbians see men as competition , and many of them wish they had masculine characteristics. They don't, obviously, and they resent seeing men who are what they wish they could be--big, strong, dominant, and intimidating. That's why you see butch lesbians copping masculine gestures and trying to act stereotypically male.
Feminism is not about equality like the people state here. Equality is about equality. Feminists are sick in their head. The name itself is already a represantation of a female ideology which includes females dominance over men. Why do they protest against male dominance in Arabian countries? I really want to see feminism in muslim countries. But why is there non? Instead they are active in countries where they are already free.
Easy solution here. Men don't go to the cafe and she either barely scrapes by or goes out of business. Chances are she did that because she doesn't have male clientele to begin with though. There are some vegans that are male but the number is quite disproportionate it would seem. I imagine this was just an attempt at a marketing ploy but who knows... It would be interesting to see the sales she put up. I'd bet they weren't all that great.
I think it's pretty ridiculous... but at the same time you're free to use another business. So yeah it's awful but like just take your business elsewhere. I would.
Yep and eventually if enough people stop visiting that business will die on its own.

I don't agree with the idea but I believe they should have the right to do it... the right to deny service should be a real thing and if you feel certain people need to pay more for your service than others good on you... expect to be undercut by other businesses
The cafe owner is an idiot for this. Charging customers extra based on their gender is sexist pure and simple. No matter where the money is donated, the owner could ask the male customers for donations and not just ripped them off.
Also I am a feminist and believe its about equality regardless of gender and @KierBear has explained it very well.

Every other male gets the same pay check be it a checkout assistant or a nurse, an accountant or a doctor. so why the duck do they do shit like this? obviously there will be some jobs women are better than males and males are better than women recognise this ducking feminists the population of females wanting to work as logging workers will be far less due to lack of interest... how the duck is that every other males problem? likewise the percentage of female workers in the field of dental hygiene will be higher.!! ducking biased feminists

I'd definetely not be a customer. Firstly because I'm not vegan, secondly because there's no way I'm paying more just because I was born with balls, I'd rather look for somewhere that see me as just a normal customer, not a male customer who should pay more.
I'm a vegan, but this is just bad rep. What the hell are these feminists on about? I'm sick of America, and I guess next place this shows up is the week-ass country next door (Sweden). It's just a fad. An expression of some deeper contempt and problem. It really has little to do with men and women as social roles, and more about an unbalance in the dominating ways of society.
Them being vegan shouldn't be related to this. It's possible to be completely down to earth and vegan..

Feminism is not about equality, anyone who says so has misunderstood the concept of feminism, it's about women's rights, if all men had to be whipped for an hour straight every day for being men, someone who only 100% supported feminism and nothing else wouldn't give a damn, one of the leaders of one of the largest feminist youth organization in Norway was in my class at school for the last three years and she herself told us feminism was not about the equality between sexes but the empowerment of women, here is also googles definition of feminism

i used to get less than my female counterpart for the same job so what about that gap there? if me and her went into this shop i'd have to pay more? what?
The gap is based on overall earnings, not pay for the same work. When you take into account hours worked and the kinds of jobs men and women tend to gravitate towards (which is entirely their choice) there's no pay gap. So basically, men earn more because they work more hours in higher paying fields (which also tend to be more high stress or dangerous, which is why they pay more). My job is pretty dangerous at times, so I get paid quite a bit and I have to work 60-80 hours per week. Another man might work 40 hours for minimum wage. Should I then have to pay more than he does because I work more hours in a harder job? That's basically what you're saying.
Stupid, but you can say that she is TRYING to fight for equality by addressing what she sees as the gender wage gap. You can think she is wrong about the inequality here, but there is not doubt she is TRYING to fight for equality. So to answer your question, with the example you give, it looks like feminists are still TRYING to fight for equality.

Wage gap is only like 33 cents and it's because men tend to work more than women so it would make sense. Even if it was 66 cents like how most feminists say that's such a small difference it's not even life noticeable.
