Men want to have fun and goof off more because they see what happens when they don't. Look, getting married and having kids is fun and an amazing experience that a lot of people enjoy. But taking on that life means letting go a life of freedom, and as fun as that wife and kid life is, there's always a misery to it. The grass is always greener on the other side. The men having fun just aren't ready to give up on that level of fun. If that's "childish", so be it. And you know what, I know a guy who didn't get married til he was 45 and had a kid at 48 less than a year ago. And you know what, happiest guy I know. He was able to enjoy the freedom of not being married and having a kid and now he's ready to settle down and he has. And he lived a great life until that point. It's not wanting to give up that other life. And it's not a bad thing, either. Not only that, if there's a woman out there that acts like a "child" in the same sense you're saying a guy acts like a child, a guy would attach his wagon to that, because they both wanna have fun. I don't have a girlfriend, I'm not looking, but when I do, I'm not looking for the "I have a blossoming career and I can't wait to have a family" at my age. I'm looking for the "I like blues and rock music and I like to go on hikes in the mountains and sometimes I just like running around in a field playing paintball" or something that indicates that life isn't over. Yes, have a blossoming career, but let's have fun. If you don't want to have fun and you want to settle down, good for you, you'll find someone else that does. As for those who don't want to settle down, let them have their fun and quit bitching at them, or you're going to be the reason they have a midlife crisis.
I think the main issue with men is how they have a misconception of women and what women want. I think it’s close to 90% of the issue with men. They get their cues from porn mainly nowadays, which sucks because other men shame other men for being a certain way. A guy growing up today will listen to these misinformed men on what women want and feel like he’s never good enough when it’s far from the truth. The MGTOW men and their advocates are perfect examples of this. I believe 100% of a man’s insecurities is due to other men.
Biggest load of nonsense I have seen today and ironically.. very childish. The reason for the Birthrates decline and all that is a complicated web of socioeconomic and development factors. It has very little to do with the people themselves in that if previous generations were put in our position then they would act the same way.
So you're telling us to "grow up" and have kids? Times are changing man. Have you bought your own house and gotten married yet? Are you working a factory job?
Back then men could easily get a factory job right out of high school and marry before 21. Economic pressures and social values have changed making it harder to continue that lifestyle. What you consider being grown up is simply us looking into the past.
Leave me alone with your baby fever, woman. I'm playing video games with my friends while having some beer and pizza and I don't want kids to ruin that just yet.
