Do you consider people from North Africa and the Middle East to be "White" by race only?

Middle Eastern people, such as Persians/Iranians, Lebanese, Palestinians, etc. North Africans, such as Moroccans, Tunisians, Egyptians, etc.

Middle Eastern and Arab aren't races. Arab is more of a linguistic term (like Hispanic) than an ethnicity and Middle Eastern more of a geographical term, like Latin American (or Central American or South American). According to anthropologists from the past couple of centuries, people from the Middle East belong to the Caucasoid race, the same race Europeans and even some South Asians, are a part of. Oh and by the way, they obviously don't have to be Muslim to be considered Middle Eastern, North African or Arab.

I wouldn't say white. What is race anyway? Its a man made concept. All humans are the same species. So who decides where differences are enough, to call it a separate "race"?

in my opinion, north African and arabs look close to europeans, when compared with Asians or Africans, but still different enough to be their own people. Europeans look closer among thenselves (eg brits and germans) than they would with any middle easter/north African nation.

Im sure there are some northern African countries which have had a decent intermixing with sub saharan African genes, making them not exactly "black" but still different. Others, not so much.
On the other hand, middle eastern nations may or may not have had intermixing with Asian and/ or european genes.

He's white. Are Egyptians also white? Debatable. Some are, some are not. Nubia is partly within Egypt and the people are black.

This is an interesting question, and I think it makes me believe that 'White' is as much a cultural thing as a racial thing.

Honestly it depends on the person and country... so for example Egyptians... I am an Egyptian who lives in Europe I would consider myself white/light skined... however... people who live there wouldn't consider themselves as white. The reason why they belong to the Causasoid is because European people did live there way long ago. So Greek and English people have lived in Egypt in the 50's. And there is a difference between an Muslim mind and a Christian mind. There is a lower change for Muslims to consider themselves as white while Christians like me would easily consider themselves as white.

In one hand, there is only one race, "The human race".
In the other hand, there is multiple ethenic groups.
And middle easterns and north African are composed from different ethnicities.
For example, north African are composed principaly from two ethnecities : Arabs and Berbers.
White as it is already said, it isn't only about the color of skin but it refers to caucasian people.
