What ur opinion? Who is more self absorbed?
Asker+1 yHonestly I don’t think it’s gender related. Being self absorbed depends on one’s own personality I guess. I should’ve added that as a 4th option too cuz ik some people just pick randomly

I think it is more 100 percent all around. We are all selfish. Everyone. Every single person. That is why it is hard to open up to people. Especially in a romantic relationship.

Asker+1 yOmg. I love you. Lol. First smart answer 😂
I think it depends on the person, but I also think that women in general feel that they have to focus on their appearances... I don't think that necessarily makes them self-absorbed... just probably that many have low self esteem from what they've seen or been told.

Asker+1 yI agree. Focusing on one’s appearance could mean insecurity or being self absorbed. Not necessarily its automatic egocentrism
+1 yBoth genders have self absorbed people and not so self absorbed people. I chose woman though cause I'm a little self absorbed and I know it XD

+1 yI'd admit that Men are self-absorbed, my father for one has always been self-absorbed man , he cares for no one but himself and that's it. But
unlike my father i try my best not to be self-absorbed , i care too much
about others is how i see things.10 ReplyLol what kind of stupid question is that? Women definitely no man passes 1 hour straight on make-up and shit just to go out normally and i saw you saying gym... You know girl do go to gym also? And gym is something you cintinue because you enjoy it maybe you dont like it but some do?
00 ReplyWell my dear, you chose to believe the easiest thing to think about. The truth is that women know how much girls are self-absorbed because they meet many women like that, and because men, between then don't act like that, we just guess that women are like that, especially when we hear our girlfriend talk about other women. So because the results show that women are more self-absorbed then you answer "because men don't want to admit that they are" well that's just stupid and immature from ya
00 ReplyI think this is a huge societal issue
I think its probably about equal.10 ReplyIn general, women
But varies on a case to case basis027 Reply
Asker+1 yHow?
Asker+1 yBut... who’s fault is that? 😆 Haha, I mean I’m not trying to shit on men but honestly who is letting that happen?😂😆
Asker+1 ylol no sorry I didn’t mean to come off that way xD I’m js haha
Asker+1 yLook at how many women say men/women.
Now look at how many men say men xD LOL
Asker+1 yNo. I’m basing it off the percentages. Regardless of the number 😂
Asker+1 yNo...
The percentage is different, lol. If I based it off amount of people who voted, yes it would be bias on my part. The percentage gives off the ratio of each gender who voted. If 10 of 20 men voted, it would be 50%. If 100 of 1000 women voted it would be 10%.
Lol...- +1 y
I agree but the percentage might very well change when there is equal member.
I am all up for the possibility of more individuals thinking that men are more self absorbed.
But unless it is a subjective explanation by every person, its logically wrong to attach biased connotations without proof.
Asker+1 yLol, that’s why I think it’s biased to say women “in general” are more self-absorbed.
You say women are self absorbed because men are lined up worshipping them.
But... there’s another side to it. There’s also men who only are lined up to get into their pants. Having lots of men drooling over you isn’t necessarily flattering / ego-boosting.
I didn’t wanna debate that bc it’s too time-consuming but now I feel like you really think women are more self absorbed haha. But it’s a bias
Asker+1 yWhy do you think men usually get crazy and upset when they lose to a woman in a game or sport. Lmao
- +1 y
You said that now you think, that I believe that women are self absorbed, fine.
But that is precisely the reason why I explained in my first opinion that it varies on case to case basis.
On the topic of why men get upset when the lose to a women in sports, 2 factors.
1) Biologically, on an average, men are physically stronger than women, there are of course exceptions and there is no shame in admitting it.
2) because no one likes to lose 😂
On the topic of having men orbiting isn't an ego booster is a wrong notion, survey says that women do like to keep orbiters and lead them on because it does boost their confidence and they can use them as a safety net.
Asker+1 yLol I know men are stronger, but I’m talking about activities that don’t require physical strength. Examples; chess, earning more money, video games.
Men are self-absorbed in the areas that they are pressured to excel at. Same for women.
I know no one likes to lose, but I’ve noticed that men tend to get super salty when they lose specifically to a woman 😂 and women get less upset about losing overall
Asker+1 yAnd well you did say in general that women are more self absorbed. Haha. I know you did add that part but it’s still quite biased 😋
Asker+1 yUh no... bias would mean that you’re saying women (or men) are more self absorbed, without having actual proof of it.
I thought people would be smart and say that being self absorbed doesn’t depend on one’s gender. Haha- +1 y
You asked for an opinion, which is subjective and likely based on anecdotal experiences.
Someone answering something that you don't agree with is not bias.
And about you expecting people to say both are equally self absorbed, you didn't ask if they were equally self-absorbed, you asked who is USUALLY MORE self-absorbed.
Had you asked if "are men more likely to be self absorbed or women, or do you think its equal in both the genders" then it would have likely got equal results.
Asker+1 yHaha, I know it’s an opinion ^^ that’s why I take it lightly. No I won’t read all of what you wrote (no hate) I’m just not in the mood to debate even if I could xD
But... even if they’re opinions, it’s always good to debate in order to enlighten some people :) hehe- +1 y
It is not a debate. 😂
No one cares what we are discussing about.
What surprises me is that you are trying to convince me that I am biased because I said women are usually more self absorbed, when you are completely oblivious to your bias 😅
In the hypothetical case that majority men said men are self absorbed and and so did the women, would you say that that result would be biased too?
Asker+1 ySorry? Discussion* haha, English isn’t my first language.
Lol 😆 I’m giving an opinion, remember? You said it yourself 🤣 and you’re doing the same thing - trying to convince me of my “bias” but ok whatever xDD
If both had said men are more self absorbed, that would also be a bias. In this case however, people are focusing on a specific situation where women are more likely to think about themselves more than men (looks, weight, makeup)... but they forget that men usually are self absorbed in other areas: when they “got girls” or they “have more game” or they “earn more money”.
Just analyze it a little bit more 😋- +1 y
You aren't giving an opinion, you asked for an opinion, but you aren't open to it when people are saying women are and trying to convince them that they are wrong. Thats your bias. It would have been a diffferent ball game if you had posted along with the question that you have a particular stance and looked at it as a discussion to find common grounds.
But you didn't.
I have no clue how you can tell people that their anecdotal experiences are false 😂
Know I know what you meant, when you said this, "lol no sorry I didn’t mean to come off that way 😆 I’m js haha" 😅
Asker+1 yLol... I already said that I would’ve still done the same thing if they said men. Because I know LOTS of guys who aren’t self absorbed in the least.
But yeah true, all of these are just opinions lol, that’s why I said I take it lightly 😂
Asker+1 yAnd I don’t take them seriously since I know lots of people here also randomly just click 😝
It depends I've met girls that where only interested when the conversation was about them, but also met girls that obsessed over other things, but all in all I would say girls like talking about themselves, and it's a good way to get more intimate
00 ReplyIt's more dependant on the individual person and not their gender.
10 ReplyFrom my experience both women and men are just as self-absorbed

+1 yDifferent people vary on how self-absorbed they are, and it has nothing to do with whether they are male or female. No vote.

00 Reply 2.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Well tbh women usually ask about their looks
05 Reply
Asker+1 yBut that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re self absorbed... it could mean they’re pretty insecure.
Also men usually ask about their dick size and “game” or how many “hoes” they got. Lol. It’s not just about looks that makes someone self absorbed
Asker+1 yYou mean girls? Yeah, true
Asker+1 yWell if by boys you mean men my age.. yes, I mean that
