But in all seriousness, even though people say that women are more egoistic or whatever, men are more likely to get to the extremes. And men almost everywhere have a sense of entitlement that women don't, which is why women are more likely to be seen as egoistic than men do.

I'll give an example. Suppose a woman wants to buy a car and she actually has good knowledge of cars. But she was there with her boyfriend. The salseman constantly ignored her and started to talk to her boyfriend instead even though she is the one willing to buy the car. That moment if she makes a statement like telling him to talk to HER or something like that, it will automatically be seen as an egoistic act.

That's how I see it.

Hmmmm. I feel like it is not gendered.

Women are generally easily dissatisfied because of the lack of oxytocin compared with men. This irritability can make them seem more egotistical because they are so sensitive and aware of mild inconveniences.

Men on the other hand are more direct in the way they view problem solving which can make them seem arrogant and jump to conclusions.

However i feel like unhealthy ego exists apart from this. I feel like people with a big ego are charismatic and accomplished regardless of gender. They resond to good feedback or whatcthey percieve as good feedback.

Women have bigger ego's. Just like everything else, this is speaking generally and not referring to all. I do believe that there are plenty of men and plenty of women who have enormous ego's and plenty of men and women who have really small ego's. Overall, however, I'd say that your average woman is going to be a bit more egotistical than the average man.

i personally feel that men are more realistic when it comes to their self image. girls are often more willing to ignore or unable to take emotional evaluations out of their self image denying themselfes to admit who they really are. so i would say women have the "bigger" ego, cause they're less likely to admit what they consider to be flaws.
