When is the soonest you can change your belly ring?

I got mine done 2 weeks ago and I was wondering approx. how many weeks/months I should wait before I change it. Do I have to wait for the full healing first?

I would really advise that you wait the recommended amount of time. Navel piercings are among the most easily infected. You have to be mindful of it at all times, so as not to snag it on things. You need to learn NOT to touch it. And you need to clean it properly, and regularly. DO NOT change your jewelry. Whatever jewelry they pierced it with can't be so ugly that you'd prefer what ugly things can happen to your piercing if you try to mess with it, such as infection and rejection.

Your piercer should have told you how long you'd have to wait to change it, along with aftercare instructions. If they didn't, they may not be a very good/reputable piercer, or maybe you didn't care enough to listen. I don't know. In any case, I don't have a navel piercing, so I can't rightly say. But you should wait at LEAST three months before you even attempt to take the jewelry out, and that's assuming that it's healing perfectly.

I didn't wait the full healing time but I did wait at least three months. It's really really really important you wait because they do get infected super easily. I didn't have an infection but some of my friends who tried to change them early and didn't clean it regularly did and it was GROSS.

you have to wait three months. no joke its what theyll tell you before you leave. it feels like it takes forever to heal but it does eventually and when its healed its a lot better to sleep on and everything

cause it sucks when it gets hit or rubbed or caught on the loofa!

I've heard anywhere from 6-8 weeks. You should not change it after only 2 weeks.

You need to make sure you're doing the proper aftercare procedures so it doesn't get infected and can properly heal. Otherwise you'll have wasted money and gone through pain and hassle for nothing.

i got mine done recently and they told me 6-9 months. just a note, be sure you clean it everyday, otherwise it may not heal correctly!
