Do high school guys like shy girls?

So I'm pretty shy, I just transferred to a new school where everyone knows each other, and I only knew like two people, so I kind of had a hard time making friends.There's pretty much one huge group (I go to a private school my class has about 90 people) and couple of loners like me. I have some friends, but not a ton like most other people.There's this guy I like and he's pretty outgoing, he's a sophomore and I'm a freshman, but we have two classes together, spanish and math (I'm in an upper level class). We talk sometimes because we sit near each other in both, but I was just wondering if you think that there's a chance that an outgoing guy could like a shy girl? I'm not shy with my friends, and I'll talk to people a lot if they talk to me, but I usually don't make the first move. Also, I'm the only freshman in algebra two, which I think could kind of intimidate guys too... are guys attracted to girls that are smart (possibly smarter than they are)?

iunno it's a private school.. (Never been to one) you'll fit in eventually just break your shy shell, I like girls who are smarter than me ;) that why they can help me with essays and such, but I don't like genius girls who make me feel dumb, lol.

Just start conversations with him, maybe if he looks puzzled in class you could offer to help.

Tbh I wouldn't mind dating a shy girl, but there is a limit if you don't talk at all then no, but if you can have a decent conversation, why not :)
