All these guys on here who are so pro woman. They will protect and love they're female friend but they won't show the same love, support and understanding to another guy even they're best male friend. They're more aggressive and rude to other males but will protect woman no matter what. I know we need to protect woman and girls and i don't think there's enough resources for woman and girls to be protected but there's definitely not enough resources to protect men and boys. We desperately need more protect for men and boys but men don't seem to care about this need. Hell, I know a guy who protects woman and cares for them over any man and woman always go for the thug or the bad guy who's least likely to protect her. So I don't understand the logic behind worshipping woman knowing this.

Probably somewhat rooted in biology. If a bunch of men go to war and only a few come back alive, then those few can still impregnate the whole female population and their society can continue. If the reverse happens and a whole lot of women go to war and only a few come back to their loving husbands waiting for them at home, there isn't going to be much of a future for that society.

I actually think kind of opposite you of you, however. I think we should just stop trying to protect people in general so much. I don't think it prepares people to handle the harsh world so well if we're eager to shield them from it. More females than males attempt suicide, for example, and the majority of the males who attempt suicide are raised by single mothers. My conjecture there is that the majority of those males committing suicide have not been prepared to face the harsh world out there as men, and that the greater number of female suicide attempts is for similar reasons.

If you're protected and coddled all your life, it doesn't prepare you for harsh realities: for tragedies, crises, etc. It might make you an optimist when things are going well only to turn into the most negative and cynical person when things aren't. The whole act of being a man is to be a realist and an optimist: the type of person who can still guide everyone to their well-being even during a time of crisis, e. g. Those types are generally very psychologically stable.

What I mean by not trying to hard to protect anyone is this: take a bully victim, for, example. Doesn't matter if it's a "he" or a "she", but let's just go with "he". Let's say we find him crying at home after having been bullied and teased all day at school.

The very protective approach is to coddle him, hug him, tell him it's okay to cry, and then get outraged and try to contact school authorities and parents to solve this problem for him and maybe even try to go on bullying campaigns. That approach can work if you can turn the world into a giant safe space. It doesn't work if you fall short of that, and that bully victim might find him constantly singled out by assholes for the rest of his life, maybe even to commit suicide at some point.

The approach I favor is not so protective. It might lend the boy a firm hand, encourage him to stand straight, chin up, wipe away those tears (not demanding it, inspiring it) and teach him to have pride, confidence...

... teach him how to carry himself with dignity and not let others break him down. We might even teach him how to defend himself if a fight is unavoidable, but also teach him not to instigate fights he can avoid.

This "less protective" approach is far more effective psychologically as I see it to prepare him to face the harsh world out there because, as parents, we can't protect our children 24/7, and we especially can't be around to protect them all the time when they're adults.

What are his motives? White knight is like someone who thinks they can rescue the damsel in distress with the hope that she will now fall in love with him. They have ulterior motives beyond just being kind to a girl. For example, if the girl thanks Nelson and then starts dating another guy who treats her well, and Nelson is jealous and resentful rather than happy for her, then he might be a bit of a white knight.

Far more often, I see guys use kindness as a way to try to attract girls.
