behind your boss's back? If he/she was really hot and way sweet and you guys really clicked. Would you tell your boss or keep it from them?

I'm seeing my boss's brother and she doesn't know. It's getting a bit serious, like we're planning a trip together for new years. She still has no idea, she thinks we're just friends.

You can't just lie to someone like that, though.. She may freak out, if she ever would, because you lied to her face.

If it's getting serious (or had a chance) you should have just told her. If she's your boss, she can't be upset unless she, herself, wanted to be with her brother. Or.. You're a horrible person to this woman..

But, if you're scared to tell her because you don't want to get fired if you and this man broke up in a nasty way, then you shouldn't be with him. I'm guessing that this isn't the largest part of the problem, so I'll move on.

You should 'listen to your instincts'. Are they telling you to lie to your boss? If so, why?

( ^_^; Haha.. Then again, you shouldn't really listen to me.. I'm the type of person to kick you in the stomach for lying.)

No, I wouldn't, because I don't want to be in a relationship where I have to hide what I am doing. Would it really be a problem if your boss eventually knew that you two were in a relationship? Hopefully not or hopefully you are not attached to your job and can afford to find another one.

I see that you will not be working for her in a few months. I think you have nothing to worry about then. I would not jeopardize a career to date someone, because I know many relationships go nowhere, but a career would be something I would want to work out and I would be more likely to make sure it did work out. It would be uncomfortable if she finds out you are hiding this from her, but hopefully she won't find out until you are ready to tell her.

I think it's better you guys tell her. It's better when she hears it from any of you than from somebody else! It's her brother...so I guess he could tell her that without getting you involved too much in this conversation...but personally I'd like to be there as well.

Personally anything to do with work, I do not consider going beyond coworker or friendship with anyone. If I'm going to date someone from work, I'm either going to leave the job, or she will have to leave

Her brother? Was married. Her sister? I don't think she had one. I did like my boss though, Linda.

Linda was very nice but knew she was married and kept my distance in that respect. And he was (when he was alive I hear he isn't now) a lawyer so - no messing with him.

Best to go to your boss and ask if she's okay with it. You don't want to have a bad relationship with her or even get fired because she can't trust you. That's just my opinion, though.
