Would you tell the people you work your dating someone from work?

I've been at my job covering for someone who took a gap year. I've nearly finished my contract as she is coming back in October.

I'd seen this guy in the office & we'd talk if I had to give him documents to sign or in the lunchroom or around the office.

In March a coworker of ours threw a party at her place. He was there & we got talking properly & he asked me out that night.

We've been seeing each other outside of work since then. We've met each others friends and family & getting along great.

He wants to tell people at work but I don't want to make a fuss about it. I'd rather him tell people there after I've gone.

Is that ok to say that to him?

I just don't like people being nosey & having to repeat myself 1000 times.

I'm not trying to hide it, I just don't want the attention or if we get bad looks.
