As a national political practice, I think it's doomed. Used in small intentional communities it has worked and might still.
I think one thing it does on a national level is robs people of the pride of a job well done, and of an individual sense of purpose.

Never.
Weren't over 100 million dead people in the 20th century enough of a proof that it doesn't?

No, but capitalism is going to fail in the near future as well... We need some new ideas to deal with the impending spread of a robotic labor force and wide spread automation. Small scale automation in factories in the 1970s due to robotic arms was a huge hit to the economy and really impoverished a lot of people but it was a tiny portion of the overall economy. With a third of all jobs expected to be automated out of existence in the near future you’re going to have angry mobs in the street far more often and some sort of political change will need to occur.
If by communism you mean the State run Capitalism of the USSR and PRC etc... then no, for the same reason Private or Mixed Capitalism fails currently.
If you mean Communism as originally described by Marx and others, that describes a type of Anarchism, then yes.Of course, when no human being exists on the earth anymore. Look at what happened in Russia, Ukraine, Combodia, Vietnam, China, Cuba and etc.
Nah. I would fail like Capitalism/Corporatism, just in a different way.
Not really, it discourages hard work and innovation.
Pure Capitalism doesn't work, either, though.No. But also, does any system of government work entirely?
Due to the flow of information via the Internet, I don't think that any new communist regimes will pop up. China is still communist because Internet is filtered there so people are misinformed.
Once technology has grown and our system is forced to change, absolutely. Capitalism will fail and is already starting to.
So many uninformed people. So sad.No. Neither will socialism. The problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people's money to spend.
Let's give it five more tries, and if it still doesn't work, we can try something similar.
No not at all I think some socialism would work universal healthcare but nothing else
@disgustingweebtrash will usher in the new communist age
