From my experience it is mostly true. This is not solely because humor is the key to girl's panties, but also because women generally speaking respond better to jokes from individuals they are attracted to.

A sense of humor is a show of intelligence to a certain extent. It shows situational avareness, creativity, lexical knowledge, etc. Additionally, they also clearly showcase if a person is comfortable in a group or not, which is directly linked to his social status and confidence.

Additionally women (men too) tend to be less comfortable and confident around people they are attracted to. They are more vulnerable. So naturally they will open up more to said attractive individual, and lower their guards more.

I don't fully know how to describe this, but again, in my experience, when a girl was receptive to me, and my humor, she was "vibrant". That's probably the best way to describe it. Like there is a constant, elevated attention on their part. If they have this state of mind, you can say the worst jokes, and they will laugh. If not, you are not in luck, and you will probably look like a tryhard.

There are some instances where you can woo girls with your humor, but in most cases the attraction manifests itself beforehand, and the humor cements it.

Depends. Just look at Pete Davison and the girls he gets besides being kinda weird and creepy in personality and looks. plenty off girls still like him and surprisingly find him funny too.

Girls want a man who will make them happy and keep them entertained but unfortunately that's a big misconceptions people have on funny people. some of the most funniest people are sometimes the most messed up and i don't want baggage in a relationship I have enough of my own to deal with.

Being funny isn't everything you also have to have a lot of other great qualities to impress a girl. We're very highly selective so unfortunately just being funny isn't gonna cut it if I'm turely honest. If you want a good woman to fall for you, you have to be the whole package and this is coming from a girl who is very well known for her good sense of humour.

Your next move is to feed her. There's three thing you can do to even make better. #1 Cook the food yourself.
#2 It's got to be off the charts good. AND.

Well, Marilyn went through a lot of troubling things in her life, so someone that could make her laugh was probably what SHE needed most in her life during that time and what she wanted most.. however, this does not reign true for every women.

I think the most important aspect a man can have is being someone a woman can depend on and someone who is there for her, through good times and bad and most ESPECIALLY when she needs it the most. This a trait that can be hard to find..

Well I think she may be talking in the context of love.
If a guy says unfunny jokes but the girl laughs anyway- it may be an indicator that the girl has a crush on this guy and because of that, it means that the girl would do anything for the guy in the name of love which I think is pretty cute :)

As a guy who strives to make my interest laugh I know that if she doesn’t laugh at your jokes, she doesn’t really care for you.

If she’s laughing you’ve got her interest and attention. From there you can attempt a more romantic approach.
