“If you can make a woman laugh, you can make her do anything”, Really?

Question

Is it still true in today's world? I mean there are a lot of feminists who say things like "just because I spent a night in your bedroom and we made out, it doesn't mean I owe you a relationship" and more things like that. So, it must be way too hard to actually decide if there's a specific thing/hint to conclude that the girl is really interested and would do anything (within proper limits). It's so-so easy for me (& other gentlemen) to make a woman laugh but I know, to make her do anything is a 'beyond the imagination' task according to today's standards. 

What's your opinion?

Most sayings in general, can easily be taken out of context.
Humans like to make things more complex than they really are, rather than seeing what the writer really means.

What this quote means to me is,
When you make a woman feel comfortable enough to laugh she is bringing down her walls, and falling into a comfort zone with you.
Whatever "face" she is displaying to the world, she brings that down with you, because you are providing her that level where she feels she can feel free around you.
The ability to make a woman laugh, is the ability to have her feel free to be herself.
I think that is all that means.
He's pretty much saying, you'll see the real her instead of the disguised her.

A guy who can make me laugh wins a lot of points. Mostly because when I'm looking for a potential partner, I don't want someone who is going to be super intense and serious all the time because that's boring and a little freaky lol

Well... you can make her do anything if and only if... you do what she tells you... I read a book on how to influence people... the main thing in that book was "every human being likes to feel important" if you can make a women feel important... not only women every single human being (even a 5 year old) will do what you want them to.

I guess it solves it.

Sounds like something that a man would say, not a woman. But the saying in the title is not to be taken as is. I think that if you can make a woman laugh, it is *easier* to get her to do other things. But not guaranteed.

Not true AT ALL. Only a physically attractive man can make a woman do whatever he wants. If he also happens to be humorous, extra brownie points for him. But good looks is the BASIC requirement.

I don't know my Husband has had the ability to make me want to do whatever he wants since we started dating. But I always felt like he had my best interests at heart. he did always know how to make me laugh though :D
