How to deal with playful guys?

i met a guy at my work place who's been playful/flirty around me since day one. more playful than flirty I think. ie he'd pinch me on my cheek,stuff paper into my shirt.mess with my computer and he often stands very close to me when we talk and is kinda touchy-feely. however when he's doing his own stuff he's pretty focused like I'm not existed...so it feels like he just enjoys playing with girls.

it's confusing. I don't know if I should interpret it as he likes me,or he's just a big flirt. I've seen him talking to lots of other girls(we all work together), I just haven't seen him getting close to them or touching them. however he may do that, but I didn't notice.

does any of you know any guy like this? how do you deal with such a guy?

I say pay attention to how he deals with other girls and what they respond to him. Ie. if they make it clear they DON'T like getting stuffed, then I bet he's not doing it.

I wonder if you LIKE this attention or not... sounds like you do... I bet you laugh and so it encourages him to keep doing it.

Now tell me, if you went up to him and did the same thing when he was working would he tell you to bug off or would he entertain you as you do him?

Try it. If he tells you to bug off then next time he comes around do the same to him. Unless of course he has a deadline, in which case, try it again later. If he's "always" having deadlines you should say, when he comes around, go back to your deadline, I'm working.

My guess is he'd entertain you...in which case, there's your answer. He likes you but like a teenage boy he won't ask you out. In that case, you ask him for lunch... go from there. ;) (assuming you like him, of course)

stuff paper in your shirt? How old is this guy? Do you like these things, if not: first thing you need to do: tell him to stop!

Concentrate on your work as good as possible, if he tries to "play" with you while you try to work, tll him to f*** off! If he is calculating (in a really bad way) he does this to lessen your concentration at work (which means you don't do a good job in th end) but he does because he concentrates when he does his? Do you get what I am trying to tell you?

it's like when he walked past me he suddenly put a crumpled paper into my collar.and how old is he? 20..he's not doing it to affect my work though..basically it's when I finished my part or when I'm doing something easy. I'm just confused why is he doing this. does he purely want some fun out of a boring job or does he like me..

I am not sure what makes me think that he is just playing but it looks more like that...or wait a minute... is he more playing with you or flirting? Do you meet up in your free time as well?

he does flirt,but I'm not sure which one takes more part. there's another playful guy, but I can tell straight away that he's purely joking around. it's harmless though.however to him I'm confused.and no we don't contact after work..i also don't see this coming..should I observe how he treats other girls?

it might help..but if you are not into this guy...than you should forget everything and play along as long as you please and date someone else?

I would talk to him and explain how you feel about his pranks. He thinks you like it that why he does it. If you don't say anything he is going to end up doing something you don't really like and probably going cause strain between you guy. Good luck.

my reaction is basically playing alone which will be most people's reactions too I suppose? I don't think anyone will go serious just because of some harmless small pranks..what he does doesn't affect my working or anything..im just confused by his intention.

Probably his way of making the day goes faster or bring more colorful to work atmosphere. If you don't mind it's OK but don't encourage him because I'm serious pranks can get out of hands. I saw it and someone does end up getting hurt because they thought it was harmless.
