I asked this question because
1. I don't think black people are ugly or whatever. I am just not romantically attracted to black guys.
2. As I said before, some people make a big deal of it.

You are not saying that black people are lesser human beings as you have stated above so there is nothing racist about it If you find them unattractive. It is just a matter of preference.
If when someone says that he/she doesn't find white people attractive it wouldn't be considered as racist, so you shouldn't be considered as racist either, otherwise it would be double standards.

if you simply prefer or lean towards finding more non-black people attractive then i would say it's not racism

but the reality is if we say "i don't find any person of X race attractive" then you sort of need to dive into the why because it's hard to imagine that a person finds 0 people of a certain skin color physically attractive

i used to feel like i couldn't date black women. i felt like they were simply too different from me. what i found was i applying a prejudice based on race that wasn't true. what the reality was that culturally the black women i was aronud simply weren't people that could be attracted to (beyond looks). but as i went to college and lived in different places i found plenty of black women who i could see as potential partners.

a lot of time we apply racial prejudices (which is racism) that precludes us from seeing people as potential partners. it doesn't make us some raging racist but we are applying racist notions
