What does it mean when a guy remembers random fact about a girl?

There is this guy who is my friend, however, we rarely talk to each other as we do not meet that much. However, he remembers a lot of things said in a random conversation. For instance if I say I like that teacher because he has a nice character, and then a year later that teacher starts teaching him, the next time that we talk, he would tell me "that teacher whom you liked his character - yes he is a good teacher and has a nice character also"

He also remembers details like for instance if we met once between the classes and told him which lesson I had, two weeks later he still remembers which lesson I am having at that time.

How come one remembers things that we've had long time ago and was just a random talk? Once I heard that if a guy remembers details about a girl, it can mean that he likes her. Do you think he likes me?

Also, once I told him that I saw him somewhere and he told me that he didn't see me and maybe he will see me some other day. Yesterday, he said that he saw me and he thought that I didn't recognize him (I saw him too but wasn't sure it was him, so I kept going but I saw him looking at me and doing a half cute smile)

Is he doing this just to show me that he is interested or what?

it does sound like he likes you. most guys can't remember basic things about people and that fact that this guy is remembering detailed things you said months ago is a good sign. try to talk and hang out with him more. maybe step you your relationship with him and invite him somewhere? see if he's interested in being more than friends. possible negative- he just has a really good memory. you could check this by seeing if he remembers random facts from an old class or something.

well once we had a fight and it was my fault - another friend knew what happened and knew him more than me and told me to forget him as don't give 2 chances...but he gave me a second chance. however when we meet online or in reality - I always have to talk to him first or else he won't talk to me -when I asked him why, he changed subject. I don't know how to approach him and what to tell him in order to see if he really likes me or not

maybe he's shy? that could be why he doesn't approach you. you could try texting him a lot. I recently started that with my crush and its going well. texting takes the pressure off talking to someone because you're not face to face with them. if you wanna know why he doesn't talk to you, that's something id ask in a text message. again, because it might be easier for him if, god forbid, he doesn't like you but didn't want to hurt your feelings by saying it face to face. good luck.

OMG! This is my life too! I know for a fact that my guy is shy. I always always always have to talk or text him first but when I do, he is usually glad and then proceeds to tease me! He won't tell me why he won't initiate either. And my guy has a TERRIBLE memory yet remembers all sorts of little weird things about me! Goodness!
