No they shouldn't.
Many high school aged boys are extremely immature and rife with hormones. If boys and girls shared bathrooms at high school on a national level, more incidents of sexual harassment and possibly even sexual assault would exist. Incidents already exist of teenage boys in high school sexually harassing girls in locker rooms and public bathrooms despite bathrooms being separate, such as by filming them and/or spying on them. Similar incidents would only increase if high school bathrooms were co-ed. In addition, girls could also sexually harass boys. For example, girls could secretly film and/or spy on the boys when they are using the urinal and spread rumors around the school about their dick size. While it might sound unlikely, it is a definite possibly should all high school bathrooms be unisex because, believe me, some high school girls can be cruel. In addition, sometimes, students use bathrooms for changing clothes as well, mainly if they don't have access to locker rooms. Changing clothes when the possibility exists that the opposite sex could walk in at any moment could also be awkward for many people. Therefore, high school bathrooms definitely should not be co-ed.
But LGBTQ+ want this to come true because of Transexual people and equality, liberals also want that, SJW as well. I think we want or not. I think they will make this reality in the future. Because at the end there must be no race or gender for to eliminate all forms of discrimination.
Totally agree.
There’s already so much sex happening in those bathrooms. You really want to multiply that number?
Plus it’s impossible. For it to truly be co Ed they’d have to be individual bathrooms. Not large ones with a bunch of toilets. A high school could never afford or fit the amount of individual bathrooms they’d need. My school wouldn’t even cough up enough money for tennis to take the bus. They made us drive ourselves.
And otherwise girls would be walking by their crush as he’s standing at the urinal.
It just makes no sense.
What kind of a school is that?
The average American school.
All the money goes towards the sports that make the money. Football and soccer.
You’re being ridiculous
How?
I lived through it so I would know. You’re being ignorant.
I'd love to have girls walk by me at the urinal.
That’s apart of the problem
why is that a problem?
It’s predatory. Ever heard of flashers? Same deal.
It's not predatory to be using a urinal while a girl walks by. You can't even see someone's dick from walking behind them at the urinal.
I often check at the other guys dicks to see if they are circumcised or intact, but you can only do that if you are actually standing at the urinal.
You can turn around a flash a girl your penis. That’s what a flasher is, you apparently didn’t know.
But teen girls like the penis, unless they are lesbian.
I wish girls had flashed me their va-j-j in highschool
No, teen girls do not like being flashed by fucked up perverts.
Omg. Asker is a jerk, didn’t know that. @PasticheGrizzly you can ignore this question.
There is a grocery store in Minnesota that solved this question on their own. The store has eight individual bathrooms marked as men and women bathrooms and each one has a door with a lock and it's own sink and toilet so that way no matter who or what goes in the bathroom they are in there alone. It is expensive to build but once done it avoids controversy and it also helps dads or moms who want to use the bathroom with their opposite sex kids. The future should be individual bathrooms with locks and their own sink and toilet.
So all the girls who've answered yes (9 so far) would be fine to go into a bathroom and see guys peeing at the urinals as they themselves go into one of the stalls?
As far as I can tell, female bathrooms are generally much cleaner than male ones, so why would girls want to or have to put up with that.
Besides, why should 99% of the people have to cater for the 1% who identify thenselves as binary/non-gender? Just let transgenders choose whichever bathrooms they personally identify with, nobody will mind that !

In some schools there are both female, male and unisex bathrooms. With this solution everyone would be happy. :) No need of doing it differently than this.
I voted no. This is a tricky topic. Co-ed bathrooms could help people who are transgender or gender-nonconforming. We do need to be more tolerant and accepting of non cis-gender people. When conservatives scoff at the idea of gender neutral multi-stall bathrooms and do everything in their power to not allow that liberals tend to counter by saying conservatives are discriminating against the transgender and gender-nonconforming community. Yes, conservatives are known to be less tolerant of the LGBTQIA community. However, that alone is probably not the reason conservatives are against co-ed bathrooms. The threat to women doesn't lie in people who are transgender, but from men. However, regardless of gender identity, we are talking about high school. I have nothing against people who don't identify with their assigned sex at birth. I do believe gender is a social construct. My fear lies in the possibility of an increase in sexual assault and bullying. I need to do more research on co-ed bathrooms in high school.
Just wondering , but why is it such a big deal to separate them? Or put them together?
It really seems so small to me that it bugs the fuck out of me that someone has to complain “THEYRE SEPARATED. MAYBE IM A WOMAN OR IM A MAN OR IDENTIFY BLAH BKAH”
Don’t get me wrong, I support those people to identify themselves what they feel they are... but to make. A big deal out of this WHEN WE HAVE MUCH BIGGER ISSUES TO FOCUS ON LIKE ADVANCMENT IN TECHNOLOGY OR HELPING ADVANCE OUR EDUCATION SYSYTEM OR MAYBE OUR ECONOMIC SYSTEM... Why the fuck... we are complaining on this shit (pun unintended).
It’s not discrimination. I’ve been in the coed bathrooms or gender neutral bathrooms and I hate seeing a urinal next to the stall 🙄 to see a man peeing before I get into the bathroom stall is uncomforting.
I don’t think it’s discrimination, I believe it had a purpose to separate it. I mean cmon, when do people go “YEAH, you stay in that bathroom you women you! *shakes fist*” 😂it’s ridiculous.
Do you realize we kinda get made fun of or looked down on by some foreigners when they see the gender bathroom notion. It’s just ridiculous.
That’s just my opinion though. Not trying to make the whole world see it from my point
@Red-wolf
Are men and women being treated like shit because we have separate bathrooms?
This doesn’t include trans. I can understand their struggle kinda
lol 🤣 same
Like we cool but uhh I don't know you please use the other bathroom
And fact is, men and women are PHYSICALLY different
There’s a reason why men pajamas have an opening on the front while girls don’t. Doesn’t mean we can’t work together. Doesn’t mean we can’t eat together. But the bathroom is a different thing. Like I said though, maybe I’m just use to having separate bathrooms and am always ready to protect myself from anyone who tries to harm me. I once had a man follow me.
NONONONONO NOOOOOO at least not at my school. this a terrifying thought on my perspective. This is a very bad idea for several reasons. You must remember that high school students can still be VERY VERY immature. (you would not believe how crazy high school kids can be. trust me.) im not saying most students, but I feel like some students would just use the washrooms to vape with each other, or use It as a private place to make out. High school students are to young to understand the purpose of co-ed washrooms.
One school that is going that way locally (or already has) published how they were to be. They would all have at least one doorway that is always open, making it a lot harder to do those things, which by the way often happen in single sex bathrooms when the “wrong” sex sneaks in.
No, I would not care for having to dodge women's hygiene products and such when entering.
Not to mention men and women would most likely sexually harass and even possibly rape each other.
And for all the women saying that boys are filthy, I actually remember a study that showed that women's restrooms are actually more filthy than the men's restrooms by reason of feminine hygiene, as well as childern.
Not to mention I have heard of women doing many of the same things men are often accused of in there.
I know in my heart of hearts there are plenty of decent guys who would never do this but in high school, the boys room had feces spread all over it's walls by a student and the same exact thing happened in college 2x---this I knew because I was friends with a few RA's. Even on my all girls floor in college, guys from other dorms who would occasionally sneak in to use the bathroom rather then go a floor up or down would always compliment us on how nice our bathroom was and how good it smelled and how clean it was----for this reason alone---I would have had no desire back then or in college or now to have a co-ed bathroom. You would have to have stalls which means, they would be shared stalls, which means pee would start appearing on the seats and floor, and that's just the start of it...no thanks.
Highschool kids are too immature for something like that.
No I really wouldn’t to be in the same bathroom as any guy. I like how it is now, they’re separate. What’s the point of making them co-ed anyway?
No. That’s a horrible idea. Letting horny teenagers in the bathroom is just stupid.
Nope, it’d be a bad idea. I know my peers and they’d be wayy to immature for this ( most likely other schools as well )
I voted no, but not for a lot of the reasons people are giving... bullying? Lol, like that's a gender centric issue...
The problems mentioned have nothing to do with bathrooms, and keeping them binary or making them co-ed isn't going to solve any of those problems.
Definitely not! The guys at my school, mostly juniors, spread shit on the walls and break the toilets.
They got in trouble for it in assembly
That happened in my high school too! Boys are so nasty!
@Idonthaveausername My friend told me this happened in France camp in girls toilet too done by girl.
AHAHA THAT HAPPENED AT MY SCHOOL TO I remember last year every guys washroom except for one, was closed do to vandalism and a bunch of other VERY NASTY stuff. it was funny since it didn't affect me at all, but I've always wondered what grade it was.
Does the high potential for rape come to anyone's minds, especially in inner city schools? I won't apologize when I say forget about "transgender" feelings of being denied their bathroom of choice! In a world where people are not saints and rape does happen, I would prefer we protect women by separating the sexes. A woman is NO WOMAN if born a male and either IT has a penis or lacks the organic equipment to menstruate and have children!
Nope and people who are different gender should still go to the toilet that there sex is.
Or just use the disable toilets instead.
Tbh i always used the disable one just cause it's way better plus i could smoke in there and stuff. It was just ten times better so no one is gonna judge you if you do.
The part of my school where I go to is heavily man-dominated. So every now and then when there's no-one around, I got to take my shit in the girls room because it's cleaner, and I have till this day never met someone in the girls bathroom while I've been doing so.
Guys would be trying to flash girls and possibly worse, and girls wouldn't have the privacy to take care of feminine stuff. That would be awful. They're could be a single stall bathroom for anyone added though
My college dorm had a single co-ed bathroom in the hall center and gender specific bathrooms at the end. I'll tell you exactly what happened.
Not a single female would actually use the co-ed bathroom. So the men took it over. The men ended up with two bathrooms on the floor and the women crowded into one.
This will happen exactly the same way in high school.
There should be a co-ed option along with only female and only male. All bathrooms should not be co-ed though. It's that 1% of trans people making the 99% uncomfortable.
Co-ed, no. There's too many idiots out there for that. Go where you identify.
Yes, sex is good... a lot of people like sex... If both genders same toilets there will be many people perving on each other... Resulting in willing participate in sexual acts... But it wouldn't be very fortunate for the individual who gets perved on by someone they don't find attractive and would not like to participate in sex with... It will be annoying for those people.. or people who don't like sex... But they will have to deal with it like big girls and boys
