Guys, what would be the reason he would suddenly stop texting me, when he would text me everyday?

I used to like this girl, and I would text her all the time after work, and all I ever got was straight forward replies, and she never started the texting for the, although I was really into texting her first, cause I didn't like not talking to her, I said one day to myself "i wonder if she actually thinks about me if I haven't talked to messaged her" and she didn't send me a message all day, and then all week, then all month, and I just gave up, cause she never tried to make anything work, I haven't talked to her since then.

i have asked him once before and he just said "I'm sorry Natalie, I'm sorry but I'm out to eat, guys night lol" and I didn't text back because I was like what a douche and then he texted me again was like "ill text you when I get home" and I still didn't reply and then like 30 min later he texts me and is like "natalieeee" and then that's when I finally answered.

and then I texted him over the weekend because I haven't talked to in almost a month and he kept referring to me as his wife and I was confused so I asked him if he was drunk and he's like depends if you want me to be ;) and I'm like you're acting weird and he's like no I'm not lol and then just today I see him talking to his ex girlfriend! ugh I don't know he's just fustrating

its his ex girlfriend. she posted on his facebook and they were having a conversation. the past 4 months he tried to get me to like him I believe, he would tell me to come over and hang out and at the end of summer he asked me if I was attracted to him and if I was a virgin... yet him and his ex still talk? .. does he still like her?
