+1 yPlenty of those men should cover up because they have just as much titties as a woman. No one wants to see that.
Also, women's breasts are sexualized while theirs aren't. That's the justification. Do you know what would happen if it was legal for women to go around topless? Nothing. Nothing would happen. Men would ogle for a bit and then become bored because it would be the new norm. Women should be allowed to go topless if they wish.02 Reply- +1 y
Aurora: Where it is legal for women to be topless, which it is in parts of New York and some other states, basically nothing happens. A few women go topless here and there, and a few people are offended, here and there, and nothing changes. There is no mass herd of women yearning to break free and show their boobs all over town.

Exactly! It's not a big deal.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 y1) How many men have appeared shirtless on a talk show?
2) How many people actually got "offended" by her outfit? I'm sure it was a handful
3) Women are the biggest critics of other women. Literally, it's women magazine that rate how female celebrities dress.
4) She dressed that way to draw attention, so don't feel too sad. It's called PR.60 Reply
*sigh* Yet another girl who doesn't understand that men are visual and women are not, meaning that a woman is contributing to her own sexualization and objectification by wearing revealing clothes while a man doing the same is not.
Why is this so hard for people to acknowledge and understand? It's not rocket science, geez.715 Reply- +1 y
Wrong. What a person wears has no bearing on it. It's the individual that is ogling that is doing the objectification. Clothes should have no bearing on that. You're blaming the woman for what another person is doing. It's ignorant and plenty of times holds no truth.
- +1 y
@AuroraRoseat No, you're just ignorant and don't understand what it means to be visually aroused.
When a man sees a woman in revealing clothes, he AUTOMATICALLY gets sexually aroused, it's not a choice but an involuntary reaction. If the woman was dressed in something modest, it would not have incited any lust or arousal in the man. So clearly, in that sense, the woman is directly contributing to her own sexualization and objectification - she's altering how men perceive her.
What you should be saying is that if a man then decides to catcall her for example, then that's his choice. But saying that the woman has nothing to do with it is moronic and ignorant. - +1 y
@AuroraRoseat it's called stimuli
- +1 y
@Sabretooth Exactly.
- +1 y
It doesn't matter what the stimulus is. The fact that she is sexualized and objectified based on clothing is the issue. There are women who wear burkas that are still raped and men can't see anything but their faces. You're making an excuse for yourself and placing blame on the woman.
- +1 y
@AuroraRoseat you're in denial. sure-it happens but that doesn't change the fact that girls who wear revealing colths don't increase the chances.
- +1 y
music inspires us or helps us cope. porn excites us. the sent of good food makes us want it... all natural responces.
- +1 y
@AuroraRoseat Did you even read what I said?
Rape is most likely a separate issue since a lot of the time it's perpetrated more for an exertion of power than an incontrollable lust. What I'm saying here is that men are aroused by LOOKING, and seeing a scantily clad woman will make us view her in a sexual sense, because that's just how we're wired to respond to that type of stimulus.
Why is that so hard for you to understand? - +1 y
There is no denial here: just factual information. You two are denying the fact that people make assumptions based on clothing no matter the stimulus. Clothing should have no affect on it and the woman should feel free to wear what she wants without suffering from it. She shouldn't be judged as loose, immoral, a whore etc. simply because she chooses to wear tight clothes that show her breasts. Telling her to cover up is exactly what the men in the Middle East do... and she's still raped.
We disagree. - +1 y
1) Not all men are the same.
2) Men do that even when she is modestly clothed.
3) Once she's judged as a sexual object (no matter what she wears), the assumptions and judgments tend to come after.
You're making excuses. - +1 y
@AuroraRoseat ''It doesn't matter what the stimulus is'' that is denial... blatant denial. no one is denying that woman can be raped even if she's covered-we're saying wearing revealing cloths increase the risks.

+1 ybecause women like seeing men without their shirts, at least they kind of men that like to go without. but they hate it when other women do it because they see it as a threat. men would like to have women run around topless, except for the fact that their women will give them hell every time they glance at one, so they pretend hate it and be offended to please their women
00 Reply Because men don't get oggled like women do. Wearing revealing clothes will just attract the wrong type of guys.
