Is hating children socially acceptable in Western society?

Not wanting to have children is one thing, but hating them is different.

The modern Western culture was shaped by the "values" of sociopaths, like hedonism and nihilism, it's pretty much a culture based on self-absorption.

What could we expect? Sociopaths hate children. At most, some of them think that children are good only to have sex with.

As I said, its accepted. I think they have the right to say it, I just don't think its particularly pleasant nor fair to say it. Personally I love kids, they are trying to figure out the world and themselves so naturally their is going to be times when they frustrate you but that doesn't mean that you should hate them by any strectch, they are just doing what humans do and what we did at that age. Its a shame because kids are so full of potential and wonder so I don't really understand why any one would see that as a bad thing.

Why would you hate anyone that hasn't done anything to you? That doesn't make sense. As for society, from what I've experienced, I don't think it's accepted. People, when they hear of babies getting raped (God forbid!) on the news, or getting abducted, or just something bad that someone's done to victimize the baby/child, they often get ravenously vengeful. The people's comments on those new articles are along the lines of: "Hang the Bastard!" "Just shoot him already! Why waste tax payer dollars!" "He's no human, he's an animal!" "Why isn't public hanging a thing anymore?" And other things similar. Also, as much as you probably WANT it to happen (if for example you are one o those baby hating men or women), people STILL are horny and LOVE themselves too much that that their narcassistic selves want a little copy of themselves! Especially mixed with their hubby's/partner's genes! Everytime I go out, I always see families with younger and older children as well as newborns! They are in strollers, shopping carts, on a sling across their chest or back! You (not just me) have probably seen the same scene all the time everywhere you go so to think that anything completely OPPOSITE that would be welcomed with open arms? I'm not sure I can give you a positive stance on that! Anyway, it's actually pretty natural that young men and women (even the older ones) want to be moms and dads and to follow what is popular/trendy as well as what they think will fullfil their lives, give them an important "purpose" that is more than themselves. People are pretty selfish like that and proud. It's human nature!

Its ok not to want to have kids i dont want kids either, at least now as 24yo, but to hate kids for being kids? No thats not ok nothing more ok than hating on any other group especially cos kids can't defend themselves and they have no voice.

I do not get why someone would hate them, I tend to like them, it is kind of fun and heartwarming playing games with them and stuff and I generally do not mind being around them.

I know it can be a bit of work taking care of them, but that is no reason to actually hate children in my opinion.

Well... I'm in the middle east but I always thought and acted more western-like. And... I only find female kids who are at least 1 yo cute, I just loved my best friend's sis when she was a baby. But generally honestly I don't like babies. Exept if they're my children lol... but I'm not sure if i want to have children

I'm a hedonist. I never want kids and I hate them. Pregnancy is disgusting and I want to have my tubes tied but I can't afford it.
