I have worked with several women who had numerous tattoos, piercings, and pink hair and, without exception, they were bad employees. Having tattoos and piercings does not make s person eligible for social security disability or SSI.
I think if they are seen as unemployable they can get some kind of unemployment benefits or something which I don't agree with. But they got to be getting money from somewhere if all they do is sit around and smoke pot and hang out.
To receive unemployment benefits, you must have been terminated from your previous employer for a reason other than good cause and your benefits are limited to a relatively short time period, like 3 months or 6 months (it varies between the states.) This would not qualify someone for Social Security Disability or SSI based on disability.
Depends on the country and the type of job. In my country visibly tattooed people don't get high earning jobs because of the social stigma
If I were a boss I wouldn't hire anyone like that unless they worked where the public wouldn't see them, like in a warehouse.

You'd have to be pretty committed to not be able to cover tattoos in business clothes. But I don't see any problem with tattoos, it's just art on skin so I wouldn't really care about hiring anyone with tattoos as long as they weren't obscene images that couldn't be hidden. There's plenty of jobs available to anyone without face/neck/hand tattoos which is only the hardcore who have probably thought of this issue.
I've seen plenty of auto-body workers with face, neck, and hand tattoos on the same person! There are jobs were it isn't that bad. Just nothing customer service unless you're a mildly attractive woman with those tats. The lady I'm thinking of has pretty graphic spiders on on hand, a bunch of stuff on the other, and a neck that's downright disturbing.
@meesegoMoo Yeah, those guys probably learned their trade in prison too. However if they are really good at what they do that is the thing with that trade because they mostly work in shops and not in the public eye.
Pierced up/ tattooed pharmacists are the norm where I'm at too though.
You shouldn't get benefits for purposefully messing up. Obviously they could work in a tattoo shop or they could clean, work remotely, start their own business, etc. The main thing is that if you make the choice to look like that, you have to live with consequences.
All of that ink isn't cheap. If fact I hear that it is very expensive to have done.
Somewhere they spent a lot of money for no benefits.
I know of a guy that was a drug user and lost so many jobs due to the drug use, that he is now unwanted and unemployable.
Know what? He is living off of the tax payers because of it.
Somehow it is possible in some instances.
I know that I wouldn't ever hire someone with that many tattoos showing.
It depends on how many and where they are choosing to work. I've seen staff at a hospital with tattoos. I'd say the greater the number of tattoos the more limited the number of places that allow it
So true.
I'm they can find a job somewhere but not at any of the high paying corporate type jobs.
My boyfriend is heavily tattooed and has no problem finding work, but he has none on his face. I think once you have your face covered you have crossed the line.
As long as all your tattoos can be covered you can find employment, but as you said, once you are covered head to toe it lessens your options of finding employment except a tattoo shop or a call center.
Most probably do have jobs. They can cover some if it with makeup and clothes. But if it's all over there face. Those people will usually not get a corporate job.. which I doubt they would want anyways.
They have jobs. What a person looks like shouldn't define what they can or cannot do.
Though, of course, some occupations wouldn't allow people like that within their workspace.
It depends on where the tattoos are and what they are. If the tattoo is on the head or face, then many employers may not want to hire someone who looks "unprofessional".
If I ever get over ten million in net worth I'm just going to get a face tattoo so that I can never return to drugery.
Don't worry, if you have ten mil you won't be returning to drudgery unless you blow it all.
I've worked with people in the hospital who were heavily tattooed.
patients or orderlies? I can't see a nurse or doctor having a ton like in the pics. A few is one thing, but this is way overboard.
Nurses, doctors, staff. Not counting patients. There were 2 doctors i knew of who were really into it. Really gifted. So yeah tattoos don't mean anything when it comes to being a doctor.
Only lifers in prison should have that many tattoos in my opinion
True, if they never see the light of day again. I think these people who look like a freight car on a train after the graffiti artists tagged them, got dropped on their head when they were babies and landed on their head on every step down 3 flights of stairs.
Amen 😅
I genuinely don’t understand having even face, knock, or forearm tattoos unless you’re a career criminally
*criminal
And *neck 😂 my auto suggest is killing me lol
is that a girl or a guy
Seeing as one pic shows her with boobs I'd say a girl.
They work in tattoo parlors.
