Basically any tattoo that is visible while wearing a long sleeved, collared shirt and pants is going to be grounds for a company to not hire you for "unprofessional appearance," and many government agencies as well as military branches actually have established visible tattoo standards that are similar to, or more strict than that.
The only common exception I can think of are wedding band tattoos.

It depends on where you apply for a job, but it typically doesn't help your chances.
This coming from a guy with tattoos, so I'm not at all against them; but I've also done hiring, so I know they don't help, and can hurt you, in a professional setting.
Your pic is showing back of the neck but I feel as if you're referring to a throat tat or side of neck. I have the back of my neck tattoos with a simple design and haven't had an issue with it

Depends on the industry and the company. If you're going into hospitality, service of some sort, or will have to consistently deal with clients/patients, it'd probably be a no-go.
That said, I've seen doctors with tattoos, and beards. Lawyers with beards, tattoos, and piercings. And a wide range in corporate companies depending on individual rules.
If it worries you, I'd say move it lower (to be covered by your shirt) or wait until you get your job after graduation.General rule of thumb is anywhere a tattoo can’t be covered is a bad idea for someone looking for a professional career. So next is not a great option there. Upper back could work, as well as shoulders and upper arms.
Yes. Worked in a restaurant and kitchen manager trained at Johnson and Wales culinary school. Should of been able to be a general manager, but first had to be a front end manager. They wouldn't let her go out front because of a tattoo on her forearm. Was told by a law professor in college that if a witness had more than 3 tattoos showing that they would try not to use them as they are not as believable as people without tattoos.
Yes, in fact it’s been statistically proven that if you have any noticeable tattoos that it greatly decreases your chances of employment. This is due to the fact that to employers it shows traits of a person they don’t want to hire.
Visible tattoos make one unemployable in a wide swatch of professions.
In sertan fields yes (any roles where u need to care for something or set an example)
Tattoos look so goddamn dumb and ugly, it really says a lot about people who choose to get them for the sake of looking cool or meaningful.
I find them trashy and a neck tattoo probably won't help you get a job, unless it is in a tattoo parlor.
There is too much old world tattoo prejudice in the work field which is why most jobs won't hire a person with tattoos unless they can cover them up
I wouldn't hire.
I wouldn't state that as a reason.
Really?
A tattoo you can't even SEE and you are going to mark up your body forever?
Idiocy. The rule of thumb is to only get tattoos at places that are easy to cover up.
No. But if it has something offensive or curse words on it some places will ask you to cover it up while you’re at work.
When I hire a person, I consider noticeable tattoos, and it does effect the chances of being hired. Not that I have never hired a girl or guy with a tattoo, but it often effects how I see them.
No, it's not. With very few exceptions. Generally if you can cover it then almost nowhere an issue.
I wouldn't hire someone like that not even a girl. You want tattoos keep them hidden lady the general public isn't interested in them
It's 2019 and if you live in a westernized nation. Most people will not give a fuck. Most people these days have tattoos
Yes. Why brand yourself a tramp? Who wants to spend most of their waking hours with a tramp
Not in my job but I could get a face tattoo at my job and they wouldn't give a shit
In certain states u can be considered disabled if u have neck tattoos
In my company, they don't decrease the chance. The eliminate it entirely. And I don't have to give a reason.
