ls it abuse if your employer calls you stupid? My coworker called my boss because some of us workers didn't know which classes to take because he doesn't communicate with us and tells us all different stuff. Well he told them to leave me in a class with 8 babies. Which is well over Florida ratio for teacher to students in childcare. And I called him back, first thing out his mouth was why am I acting stupid like I don't know what to do. And I'm trying to explain it's 3 teachers in a room that only has 10 kids. And they only need one teacher, so I'm trying 2 see why I'm by myself. And he's just getting mad acting like I can dral. with this cause he said so. Like no why am I being told I'm dumb and being made to do extra work which is illegal. We are required 2 have 2 teachers in this room at all times

If I am being stupid I am an avid believer in it being good to be called out for it.

In your case however, you seem to have legitimate concern not to mention legal requirements on your side.
Your boss should have been apologizing for the situation and tried to remedy it. Not insult you.

But it is not workplace abuse. Neglecting laws on the other hand, especially with minors safety on the line, is a major issue.

Ex teacher here. Are you union? Either way document all violations and try to correspind in writing or record convo if permitted in FL. It's not going to stop, it's just gonna get worse. If you can tell the parents on the DL do that too.
