Truth in advertising, I have worked in or with Congress since the late 1980s and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (as well as her two colleagues Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar) are probably two of the least impressive Members I've ever seen. That's saying a lot given the likes of Steve King and Maxine Waters, to cite two other recent examples.
However, give Rep. Ocasio-Cortez her due. She is where she is because she was able to defeat in a primary a senior incumbent Democrat - Joseph Crowley - who had been slated to succeed Speaker Pelosi upon her retirement. (Her general election victory - given the nature of the district (NY-14) -- was less impressive. A squirrel with a "D" after it's name could carry the district.)
Grant that Crowley aided in his own defeat by losing touch with his district - a sin Ocasio-Cortez may be repeating. More about which, anon. The American public likes to stamp its feet in righteous anger at the thought of pork barrel projects and parochial politicians, but God help the politician who does not bring home the bacon. Consistency is not the American public's strong suit.
No matter, Ocasio-Cortez has shown a keen eye for how to get attention and an understanding of the social media age that other more senior politicians have yet to fully grasp. Moreover - and why this has escaped media attention is beyond me - she is being backed by some big money, her protestation of her proletarian origins notwithstanding. (Though with her slow burning ethics scandal, this may begin to get more attention.)
These are not insubstantial accomplishments and they take no small amount of "smarts." In this she deserves a certain amount of recognition if not respect.
The problem is that if she were in Ringling Brothers, she would be impressive. In a Member of Congress it is less so. She may have an eye for publicity, but she appears not to be well educated, is intellectually lazy, and displays all the self-control of - as George Will put it - an arrested development teenager.
She calls herself a socialist, but the evidence that she has ever read a page of Marx is scanty. Her policy prescriptions are a rag-bag of the fantasies of American liberalism and the trendy issues of the moment. (See the "Green New Deal" as Exhibit A. A resolution so poorly thought out that it is causing the Senate Minority Leader fits that the Republican majority is about to allow its consideration on the Senate floor.)
Her staff work is slipshod. (See also the Q&A issued pursuant to the New Green Deal.) Her principles shallow - she has racked up one of the highest uses of air travel and Uber car use in Congress, and she was hilariously caught munching on a hamburger. Her mistakes suggesting a thin understanding of the issues that she presumes to care about. Her infamous "we're all dead in 14 years" moment as Exhibit B.
To this AOC adds a heedlessness of how the House works. Her remark declaring herself to be "in charge" being the height of adolescent arrogance and presumptuousness. Her attacks on her more moderate colleagues suicidal in terms of her ability to advance her own agenda.
To all this is added her lack of self-awareness. She defeated her primary opponent because he failed to attend to his district. Yet the last word was she had yet to open her own district office. That is a cardinal sin in political world.
Pack it all together and one gets the impression of a sanctimonious, self-absorbed, poorly educated and impulsive character with a gift for self-promotion. Not unintelligent, however, but certainly not wise.
In fairness, to add, my lobbyist friends who have worked with her office have found her staff to be cordial and by no means as ideological as their boss. Another point in her favor.
As to her appearance, whatever her attractiveness is lost in her grating tone and the prattling drivel that routinely issues from her mouth.
She got nice titties tho
lol true
My favorite quote of hers
"Pence is in charge of the CoronaVirus? Really? They should have picked me. I've served hundreds of Coronas and nobody got sick."
Thanks! :)

I start dreaming about her mouth
We have a comedian here.
I bet her mouth ain't bad either
I am conservative and would never vote for her , but a Guy would have to be gay not to find her attractive. She has a nice set , it is just a fact.

I believe I can see her nipples in the photograph. It's either that or I have just gained a new wonderful power. If it is the latter I am off to abuse it.

You must be gay. This guys says 'does she have breasts"?
I'm gay because I don't find her remotely attractive? Are you an idiot, seriously are you?
