Guy made one mistake, admitted it was a mistake, and apologized for it. What's that old Christian saying? "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?" We're only human. We're gonna make mistakes. The important thing is that you learn from them. If this is the only thing you can point to, I think he's in pretty good shape. Even casting aside all that, going in to a parallel, hypothetical world where it was true, and again, there's little actual evidence to say that it is, they still apologize when they say something is dumb and learn from it. That's something that the republican party does not do. They say something extremely dumb and racist, then deny it or celebrate it.
