There are quite intelligent and thoughtful black Americans who believe that the philosophy of the left - taking care of minorities - provides a disincentive for them to become independent and autonomous. Some even see that as a deliberate attempt to manipulate black Americans for political advantage and that it is not truly motivated by concern for the needs of this minority.
If Democrats have difficulty understanding that black Americans can see through their charade, then perhaps Democrats have underestimated the intelligence of all black people.

I think being black has nothing to do with voting for Biden. Look at Kanye West. He’s a Trump supporter/republican. I'm voting for Bernie because I don't live in a swing state. Biden is trash too. He has an entire history of being more conservative than some republicans back in the day, that was how he got popular way back when. He was against bussing (integrating schools) and tried to argue that segregation happened by mistake, so we shouldn't force it. This had a significant impact on the integration effort for civil rights. And that's just one issue people have with him. Biden can kiss my ass, right along with Trump. But the Democrats are stupid af and corrupt, so their establishment was too threatened by Bernie. This election was more about defeating Bernie than it was about defeating Trump. Biden over Trump any day, but that's not really saying much. I still think he's going to lose tbh, but some polls have him coming out ahead. While I'm not technically a true Democrat (I'm a leftist - democratic socialist), I never vote Republican. There would need to be a seismic shift in their party agendas and underlying philosophies for me to ever feel it suitable to vote Republican, *especially* as a black person. And definitely not ever at the presidential level. Conservative ideology is defined primarily by concern for business interests and the individual over the good of the collective whole, the little guy. Thus their morally bankrupt and horrendous policies alongside tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. As a socialist, this is about as far from my value system as you could possibly get. I live a very economically privileged life, but most of my family is poor. Why would I vote for the party that wants to gut public services that many in my community rely on, on top of all the racism? On one hand, black people are entitled to the same freedom of thought and figuring out their ideas as anyone else. I don't want to deny anyone that. And I don't like the attitude Dems have where they think they have our vote in the bag. Still, there's a very clear disconnect between Republican policies and the well being of the black community in America. Not all black people have the same histories, of course, so maybe I could understand a black person from an immigrant background being conservative a bit more. However, I am African American - my family inherited all the legacies from slavery and racism in this country and the effects of what that looks like in our communities. I literally have no business voting for Republicans in like 99% of cases that would happen in reality. The Democrats suck too and are actually worse in some ways (they pretend to be what they aren't), but until our electoral system changes and independents get more access to the ballot, these are the choices. Bernie was the only real option here. At this point, it's just trying to cut losses.

It's understandable that you're on the fence, this is not an easy situation for any voter, or at least it shouldn't be. Anytime you have to pick between two evils you should be careful with what you choose. Tbh I don't think Trump is much worse than Biden, in my view, they're both terrible, as I said, Biden is corrupt and he won't do anything for the prpgressives. These people think that they are helping us minorities but instead are damaging and pissing us off. No one should be forced to do something cause of their race... period. Yes, most minorities would fall under conservative only because of social issues, but not economic issues. Which is why I believe in separation of church and state even though I’m a Christian. While police powers fall under individual states rights due to the 10th amendment it is Trumps responsibility to act as the public persona and to foster unity and grant legitimacy to any coordinated action by government. That vested interest and implied power as the representative of the United States is laid out in the constitution. Trump has deliberately fostered chaos throughout the states egging on domestic terrorists that enter government builds armed and then makes wild statements over national television and on twitter that state governor should negotiate and make deals with said criminals. That direct economic intervention (which is actually a Neo-Liberal type of response by a Republican) tops the Bush/Obama era wealth transfer which was $700 billion by and addition $1.5 trillion as icing on the cake.
Being that about 40% of stocks are owned by the wealthiest 1% and about 80% of stocks are owned by the wealthiest 10% of the nations it is a deliberate wealth transfer away from the majority of tax payers towards Trumps wealthy friends. All the while Trump keeps crying about how he “had the best economy in the history of America” which he didn’t by a long shot, but none the less he makes a point of pushing that delusion. Trump believes this is temporary and that the economy will sky rocket back to it’s imaginary levels in a V shaped recovery which he often makes a point of and is strongly contrasted by all reputable economists. Trump also continues pointing to how great the stock market is doing as evidence that they like what he is doing. All of this strongly mimics the behavior of Hoover before the Great Depression. It’s bizarre how close their behavior is to one another. Go lean some history and economics while you’re at it. I would tell you to go examine the GDP of the G20 nations, debt ratios, unemployment rates, reduced trade figures, etc. but it would all be lost on you. You just don’t have the processing power.
In 1932 Frankly D. Roosevelt won the election and Democrats also took control of both houses of Congress. He was president for 12 years. Americans hated Republicans so much due to Hoover that they elected Roosevelt to a third term which broke with tradition and thus we had to create the 22nd amendment to the constitution to establish term limits. After that Harry S. Truman another Democrat was elected to office for an addition two terms for 20 years total of control by Democrats. You don’t have to like history, but none the less it’s there. Learn it. Failure by people like Hoover create such a backlash that it can really change the course of history in America. First of all, 99.9% of all black Democrats are crips, so... obviously they are uninterested in claiming anything that separates them as individuals. If black Democrats were black, they would be specifically separating themselves from the dociles instead of calling them their own. African-Americans aren't always black. There is absolutely no correlation at all, so I don't see why they'd be any less black if they choose not to vote for democrats. This 'Identity Politics' may end up handing Trump another win. The reason Democratic party and voters backed Biden over Sanders was precisely that he'll be a moderate.
But Democrats don't have to worry about minority vote, Trumps xenophobic tirades have alienated minority voters, support for Trump is non-existent among black voters. Democrats will be running Ads Trump and his supporters shouting 'Go Back Home'. So I'm not sure what Biden is worried about here. There are more important things he must focus on, like getting millennials voters on board. Who in 2018 voted for Democrats by a margin of 35%.
