I feel like some people believe they themselves have the best advice and don't feel like they need to be criticized or take anyone else's advice. You need to be open to other people's perspectives and opinions and not be closed in to only what you think is right and what you think you should tell other people. I hope this is an appropriate response lol. I'm not much of a deep thinker.

I noticed a lot of parents tend to be that way towards their kids. And sure, a kid could learn more from the parents, but some parents don't realize that learning isn't mutually exclusive. We can learn things from everyone

That's exactly right. I have a little boy and I'm going to do my best to raise him right and to guide him on a rightous path through life. But he'll need help along the way from other people than just myself.
