This has happened to me three times. One at a rodeo, once in the hall when I was in high school. Both of these times, I was walking and I was swatted/ grabbed as I walked past. I asked them if they got what they needed. One turned red and walked away, one came back for a grope and a squeeze.
The third one was different.
I was on a train and got up to give a lady my seat.
She was nice looking, but probably 35 - 40 years old ( I was 19).
She said "thank you", I said "you're welcome" and I stepped forward a little and held onto the overhead grip.
A couple of minutes passed and my mind had moved on to something else.
I was completely zoned out, preoccupied with whatever.
Next think I know, I feel this grip on the cheek of my butt like she has decided to try to squeeze off a chunk. Not violent or painful, but like my buttcheek was a piece of clay and she had decided to make an ashtray.
I was way unprepared and not expecting this. It startled the living sh*t out of me. I think I yelled "hey!" or "WTF!"
I jumped and kneed the back of a guys seat and had to apologize for being a spazz.
When I realized it was the woman and not... I don't know... a dog biting me, or a zombie attack... or a gay dude, I asked her if she found whatever it was she was looking for.
She was funny and smart and about half drunk. We had a great time talking for the rest of the trip.42 Reply- +1 y

I think touching someone like that is not a good idea and you have controlled yourself, so you realize that on a deeper level. Unfortunately, society and the media send these confusing messages that make it look like men would welcome any sort of touch by a female, and guys have to live up to playing stuff off like it is no big thing, but seriously I think you just should not do this. Next thing you know guys are going to be crossing the line (not like they don't already try to in many situations) and pulling stuff like that on us. I am blown away with how touchy feely guys think they can get when you go out dancing. They think grinding and grabbing is just fine and that is aggravating. It wasn't like that 20 years ago.
So, I may be giving a less than "cool" opinion but it is my opinion. Wait to smack the ass of your boyfriend :)43 Reply- +1 y
grinding is a form of dancing and it is very popular these days so that would make sense why they think grinding is fine. I agree though of I can't do it then she shouldn't be able to do it either and like you said not everyone likes it and even the ones that do usually only like it if they are interested/attracted to the girl
- +1 y
Grinding may be a dance style but I don't think the guys that have tried their moves on me were following a dance style, lol. Overall people should get back to some old school respecting of each other. Reading the responses here I see a lot more guys are not going to be pleased that a girl crossed the line with them, and I get that.
+1 yI've only done it once, at a party. he looked like an easy-going guy and was laughing and joking around a lot, so I went up to him in the bar and smacked him lightly on the butt (don't even know why, something just went wrong in my head), and when he turned around to look at me I said "sorry, I ran out of pickup-lines". he laughed a lot and today we are really good friends ;) I can't answer for how guys like it but I think it depends a lot on personality, who is doing the smacking, mood and where you are :P

You should be given a prize for this, one of the women with real courage!
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yWhat's with the wussies reacting violently? I get grabbed on all the time and no I don't dress invitingly. Just one night out and men are purposely feeling us up on the dancefloor as if we asked them to. I've had my fair share of being violated and objectified even by a simple look, so if I want to grab a nice piece of ass, I am going to grab that piece of ass. Enough said! All you bitches can go cry to your mommies and ask Santi Clause for a penis and some balls next time.

yes because two wrongs make a right /sarcasm
Opinion Owner+1 yI know right...So, why the violence?
- +1 y
actually what I meant was that just because some guys grab or smack your ass, it doesn't give you a free pass to do the same to other guys. hence, two wrongs don't make a right.
Personally I do whatever it takes to be respected. If I have to make a scene, so be it. I don't like being harassed... so I can't expect anyone else to like it either.
Opinion Owner+1 yI know what you meant, I was just being sarcastic. Don't nobody needs to lecture me on anything honey, because I know how to take care of myself and I do what I want. Thanks but no thanks...
- +1 y
I think you do need it... but suit yourself.
- +1 y
Totally agree with you. But mostly, we men don't think of this as violence, just flirting. After all, no permanent harm is done...
Opinion Owner+1 y@ Marty- I meant the violence from some of the guys' reponses up there. Some said it's offensive and that they would punch the woman.

this reminds me of the first time I got smacked.. it was middle school I believe. I was walking with my friend (guy) and these two girls in our grade that we both knew were walking past us. I could tell something was up, there was a smirk on one of the girls faces or something, I could just feel something was about to happen... anyways we were walking and these 2 girls walk past us and they both split and walk around either side of our formation. when the 2 girls were along our flanks they both smacked me and my friend's asses simultaneously... since it was my first time I didn't really realize the magnitude of what just happened (I was still taking it in) but my friend on the other hand turned and looked back at the girls with the most playa one sided smile on his face... I wanted to laugh so hard when I saw my friend's reaction lol... good times20 Reply- 822 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yThis actually happened to me a couple times in high school... I was at my locker getting books both times and this random girl comes by, still no idea who it was, and gave me a nice little smack. ;)
She kinda turned around and smiled too, but it was so surprising and it happened so fast, I never had the time to recognize her. It made me smile tho. lol40 Reply
+1 yIt hasn't happened to me since middle school, but I was a little immature then and it freaked me out because I thought guys were supposed to do that kinda stuff. Today it would amuse me/turn me on. ^^ Depends on the girl it's coming from, it would still freak me out if a girl I considered serious did it, I'd be like where the hell did that come from. If it was an offbeat-humor kinda girl I'd say haha, she's so crazy. And I'd get a boner. :P
20 Replyi wouldn't do anything other than be pissed most likely and if I f think its nessisary I might pull out some painful ikiado. even if I was flattered I would be more pissed off because female are socially and legally allowed to do what want other kill me or leave me barely alive (atleast in us) but guys are supposed to just let it go

You make like no sense and talk about using martial arts on the girl who flirted with you. Duh.
NO..it is not respectful..whether males are doing it do females...or females are doing it to males...I am a friendly, kindly person...if you KNOW me...there is so much you can do with me (or to me) but a little bit of respect is not too much to ask for...
10 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I have actually had this happen like so many times, some of them being freinds sisters lol. Usually I have jumped before because they came out of nowhere but depends on who it was. I have asked them what do they think they are doing. But otherwise just look at them like they are crazy,
00 ReplyIt really depends on the context.
If it's someone I don't know in a sitaution where it's not appropriate (like, I dunno, church?) then I'd be offended. If it's at a party and it's someone I'm talking to or joking around with, I wouldn't be upset but I'd have to tell them I'm dating someone so cool it.
When I'm single though, all bets are off. Get a handful. Just remember you have to bring your ass near me to grab mine - expect a grab or a smack back.00 Reply

That's interesting that most guys seem to like their asses getting smacked, but when I talk to other girls the general answer is that we do not like it. In fact, we see it as harassment.

Opinion Owner+1 yWell some girls also react violently to sexual harassment. Some take off one shoe and use it as a weapon, for instance. I think they're right to do so.
Opinion Owner+1 yIf you disrespect someone in such a way, you should be prepared for the consequences -- wether you're a man or a woman.
I wouldn't f*ck up her face or break her arm; but a punch in the gut sounds about right... no lasting damage, and gets the message across.- +1 y
Dude don't take it so seriously; chances are, she's either drunk or joking. Don't cause drama where it's not needed! Life's too short.
Opinion Owner+1 yIf I harass women while drunk, it only makes it more crass.
If I do it jokingly, odds are she won't take it as a joke.
So why the double standard?- +1 y
agreed ^
Although a fist to the stomach is a bit much, a girl shouldn't be doing that in the first place.
If a guy touches me I can sue for sexual assualt, yet if I touch a guy, they get told to calm down. (or something along the lines)
I think if a girl were to do that, an appropriate please don't do that again - would work fine.
If not, smack a bitch lol
Opinion Owner+1 y@andrea93, would you sue the guy or tell him please don't do that again? I'm confused.
Generally, I find it flattering.
