They shouldn't assign anyone. They should give him his own cell and allow him as little contact with others as humanly possible. Trump lives for the constant and never ending attention and validation of others. With no one to give him that and his only company being his own demons and bad thoughts, he would probably hang himself within a few months.
Nobody no matter their crime deserves to be locked in a cell with trump. That is a barbaric cruel and unusual punishment that would cause excessive suffering no man should endure.

I hate to spoil the party, but no prior President or Vice President, along with certain other positions in the federal government, would ever serve time in prison. Why? The Secret Service.
@NickCharm That will never happen. The Secret Service is basically an information protection company. It's not about the person/people. It's about the positions, and the access to certain specific information that holding those positions in the federal government provides while they actively serve in those positions. Even if a tax conviction happens, Trump will be ordered to pay an extremely hefty fine. Nothing more.
That "laptop" is being investigated about its origins-which is making Guilianni sweat-one reason Rudy wants a pardon. It was an obvious and ham handed attempt to gin up a scandal and it didn't work. I think Trump himself better start worrying-he cannot pardon himself.
