Does a girls name matter to a guy?

For instance: I have a gorgeous friend who's name is Agatha, and the guys seriously don't talk to her, then I have a friend named Grace who all the guys love and say her name is "so hot"

WDYT? Would a name bother you?

Is there a name like Grace, that you think is really hot?

I know you have asked guys mainly for an answer, but I liked the subject and decided to add my thoughts.

My sister when she gave birth to a baby girl, she called her Audrey...now, if you were like us, you'll probably be thinking, that's an old womans name, and its out dated and old fashioned. But it is really interesting how the name has actually come to suit her and I actually couldn't imagine her being called anything else.

I think some names unfortunately do get the disapproval...and I think its something that us as people have done. Like the namE Gertrude, its just one of those names that people tend to associate a certain kind of ginger haired, freckled face, glasses wearing geek...lol (and the thing is, its all a stereotype) and I reckon if Gertrude looked like Megan fox guys and girls wouldn't care. But its because that kind of name gives a different idea of the person.

Grace is a very popular name, where as Agatha is kinda more old fashioned. There are names that will never lose popularity. For example the name DAVE/DAVID I know way too many people with that name. AND Sarah for the girls.

Its all a bit silly though, because no one ever picks there original name. I like my name, because its not modern, but it is used but not so often that I have trouble wondering if someone was calling me, or the one next to me..lol

Sadly, it demonstrates the guys with whom your friend associates aren't very educated. In Greek, "agath-os, -ey, -on" means "good."

Some names do give accurate hints as to their bearer's character. On occasion, it might require a bit more effort to discern - but the one who is worthy of your friend will be willing to put in that effort.

I don't care what a girl's name is. It's a little creepy if she has the same name as an ex. Also, just because you think Agatha is hot doesn't mean that she's hot to guys.

well-spoken, and appreciated. My name is uncommon, so I understand how that can feel, but at almost 21, I really don't care about something, as vain as my name, in regards to other peoples' opinions.

Well I'd date an Agatha despite her name. I don't like that name, but if I could call her Aggie.

Anyway, I'd love it if my almost perfect match was called Juliet, or Faith or Fearne. Then she would probably be perfect.

Sometimes if I find out a girl I likes name is Emily, I'm dissapointed cos' I think that name is really weird. It's sort of like "Awww shame her name is Emily though" but that's about it. It doesn't matter that much to me.
