What's wrong with debates is that they're pointless. If you wanted your opinion change you would find a way to do it yourself instead of jerking yourself off for your ability to speak. It's retarded to say that debates are a contest of logic and meaning. They are a contest of rhetoric and rationale. Because freedom of speech. If you don't fight for speech you don't like, you will lose the right to speak what you like. They guy is a winner, he's successful at what he does. If you don't like his ideas, combat them with better ideas. If you want to silence you opponents, you haven't won anything, you've only proven to be a coward who is afraid of people expressing their rights and your speech will be under target one day.

He never debates anyone on his level because he loses to them. He only debates when he is in a curated environment with college students because he gets smoked by people on his level and he is even losing debates to college students too.

He called Andrew Neil a "leftist" when Andrew is pro-Iran war is far from a leftist. And he lost to Neil Degrass Tyson and after that he doesn't debate anyone on a similar level as him. He is mostly a punching bag for college students.
