I’d say that’s way off base. Firstly, there’s way too much rap out there to pigeonhole it into being one type of thing. It’s not all poppin’ bottles and chicks twerking, that’s only one subgenre of rap. There are some very insightful artists out there, past and present. And even if you listen to the twerking-type stuff, what’s wrong with that? Music is just music, it doesn’t have to define who you are. I feel like that’s one of those lazy categorizations humans attempt to make, same as judging people on their appearance or how they talk, or whatever. I listen to music for a sound and a feeling. Some rap really delivers on that for me. So does some pop punk music. So does some classic rock. So does some 90s R&B. So does some old school outlaw country. So does some dubstep. So does some doo-wop. I’m admittedly immature, lmao, but is it really the rap, out of all those, that’s the telltale sign?
It has musical quality, specifically syncopation. I don't care for all the lyrics, but the type is legit.

Not necessarily. There are too many variables to consider.
That's a weird way to say that you don't like rap music.
I guess it depends more about the lyrics than the genre.
I would simply say (in my opinion) that those people have extremely bad taste in what is supposedly music. I don't know if maturity has anything to do with it though
It’s a preference. Now country music, that’s immature.
How is country music immature?
I actually don't consider rap to be music.
Blrrr get it back in blood
Its music
no it is not.
I think it is
@SHREYASH007 I agree. It’s basically shit talking to a beat.
