I really like earth too much to give it up for a place that I might end up hating in the long run.

If I was much younger and part of a scientific team doing research on the planet, I think that would be interesting to me and I'd feel like I'm doing something meaningful there. Now though, I got all settled here on earth. Also imagining that homesickness might be a huge problem for many of us. I get homesick just living in other countries on earth for a few years... start missing things like food, people, entertainment, back home.
