This is about church indoctrination, and the blindly following for the sake of "faith".
" Formerly there were those who said: You believe things that are incomprehensible, inconsistent, impossible because we have commanded you to believe them; go then and do what is injust because we command it. Such people show admirable reasoning. Truly, whoever can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. If the God‐given understanding of your mind does not resist a demand to believe what is impossible, then you will not resist a demand to do wrong to that God‐given sense of justice in your heart. As soon as one faculty of your soul has been dominated, other faculties will follow as well. And from this derives all those crimes of religion which have overrun the world. "

It's true.
Never heard of it, so I’ve never thought of it! However, having read it just now, and being from a church going family until I was 13, there was no way that my pastor could have made me commit an injustice! So I don’t hold much credence in it!
I love it. 1765, eh. Wow. Some truths never change.

Jonestown Massacre and Mass Suicide
Charles Manson "family"
Both of these immediately came to mind. Certainly rings true with the covid hysteria we are living through. They made people believe that masks are effective and now store workers assault others for the high crime of not wearing one.
Atrocities, not injustices. And it’s true.
Sounds like the definition of a politician 🤣
I’m not easy influenced.
True, that’s how cult atrocities happen.
Sounds like religious doctrine, IMHO.
