You here them complain about the system all the time. That they want everything for free. They want positions given to them. Life just isn't fair. They have morals of a rabbit in heat.

My parents grew up in Great Depression and made it with nothing given to them. You had to just survive with little Gov't help. Certainly no Gov't stimulus. When this generation got a job , they kept it.

I grew up in Highest Inflation era ever. I have always worked since 11 years old. I started my lawn service in 5th grade. People didn't worry about liabilities and law suits then. I can't remember Lawyer ads being on TV. Again , Gov't didn't send billions in stimulus and the Misery index was started then. I remember gas limits were enforced at pumps and fist fights over who got gas first. I made it with no degree from Harvard and actually have a decent investment portfolio.

Now this younger generation wants everything for nothing. They want communism/socialism. They would make the came working at McDonald's as the guy with Masters Degree in a science lab. Everybody is the same. Not really your Socialist leaders will live like kings at resorts but since they own the media , you will never see that. The same will get boring. Healthcare will decline, death rates will explode. You will have no choices. Someone else will make all your choices for you. You will always just get by. Basically it is a depression every day, every week, and every year.

The US will never make it with this generation of if it feels good do it no matter whether someone else's rights are violated or if someone dies from it. Give me everything for nothing attitude.

I mean no way will US survive. When they want 2 hire these kids, it is basically either the 1 that set his mother on fire or the 1 that has only playing video games as experience. Just about all of them have phone in 1 hand trying 2 do work with other. When I was at Meijer they hired Adam & Eve , or so I called them. To under 18 people that were paid 2 do nothing but run around after each other all day. I had 2 even put their cardboard in machine because they were not 18. They still quit.

I was a kid when that happened. That caused an entire generation of kids to go without school bullying (the verbal kind, and especially the violent kind), which created an entire generation of Safe Space snowflakes and Participation Trophy pussies, we know now as Millennials. Add in Social justice indoctrination to the mix as well, by the time they got to college in the early to mid 2010s (but especially by 2015). At 34, I'm technically a Millennial, but I feel like I'm the last of the non-wimps and not like the "true millennials" younger than me.

The good news is, Zoomers (Generation Z) are based AF, though. Those are kids born from 1998 onward, so the first Zoomers would be about 23 right now. They are largely centrist or conservative and reject social justice ideas and lazy entitlement, as they've seen their older brothers and sisters be the ANTIFA, woke dipsh*ts we all know the average First World Millennial to be. Although some are part of the woke Twitter mobs, most aren't. Zoomers give me hope for the future, while my own generation makes me a little ashamed to be born between 1982 and 1997.

So yeah. The outlawing of verbal bullying and "disagreement" in school have led to an entire generation of Millennial Millhouses. None of your poll options really apply, but "Progressive propaganda and social justice" would be the closest answer to "media warped their minds."

It a consequence of the equality boom, and not necessarily always bad. The real idea behind it isn't that people could laze about doing nothing and get paid, it instead that everyone would be treated fairly. A large problem with the current system is "you need money to make money". Many people nowadays enter adulthood poor, because they couldn't get a well paying job, because they couldn't get a diploma, because their parents nor they could pay for college. The want of communism is... largely a meme, but people who actually want it are looking to enter a society where the already rich have no advantage over the poor. During the great depression... well, the economy crashed, so everyone was on similar ground when it came to finance. I don't know what your childhood was like, so I can't say anything about that, and as for my life... I'm certainly not receiving government money. The last time I heard about my family receiving any kind of unusual government finance was from the payment gotten to help families through the ongoing plague.

Thing aren't as different as you might think, you're just seeing from an outside perspective, and looking at a sample size that confirms what you already thought, whether on purpose or otherwise. i still think it's because of overpopulation. we have vast areas where new cities can be formed and become productive but we choose to not create new jobs this way, or lower housing costs for fledgling cities.

If you are 52, then you were born about 1968 - your parents were boomers, not the previous 'greatest generation'. Depending on where you grew up, your experience may have been closer to that previous generation, but for the majority of citizens in the USA, the world had moved on and opportunities and lifestyle like the one you regard are simply not available to today's kids. For instance, when you got into a scrap with the class bully, you both probably got detention no matter who won.

Now, the bully plays the victim, and you would get arrested, be taken to the police station and charged with a crime.

Kids today are screwed. Millenials have stepped up and do 'gig work' which means holding several part time jobs with no labor rights, equal pay, or benefits whatsoever. The cost of living vs. income is so slanted that most of them STILL have to live with relatives or room-mates. They aren't getting married because they cannot afford to.

They were born during depression and were children during depression. They had many stories about what it was like. My grandfather lost everything (his dad). My other Grandfather did ok. He had a store on his property and had cattle, and grew his own food, but he had two sons and 4 daughters.
