We tried communism and it failed miserably, the countries that claim to be communist right now are only that by name but have switched to full dictatorship and a system that brainwashes people and keeps them poor and hungry.
I believe that you are what you make yourself out to be and that his harsh but absolute.
If a woman is gonna be a waitress all her life the yeah she's not gonna live the high life but nothing ever stopped her from opening her own diner and using the income to open more expanding a food empire just like McDonald's it started as just one burger joint and now the entire planet id filled with branches
Instead of sitting there complaining about middle class or being poor each person as an individual has the opportunity to go into a certain craft and expand his or her income. You don't even have to own your store, if you're really good at a certain job you can freelance in it and make a killing.01 Reply- +1 y

+1 yMinimum wage jobs were never meant to be able to support a household. These jobs were for the moms who wanted some extra spending money, money to save for that summer cabin at the lake, or for a rainy day fund. These jobs were meant for older kids working summer jobs to save for college. Dad was still the breadwinner by selling insurance, being an accountant, working a stamping mill at the tool and die works, being a dentist, etc. THOSE jobs were meant to support a household.
As inflation ratcheted up faster than wages or promotions, and as people simply wanted more "stuff" and to "keep up with the Joneses", more and more households became "dependent" on a 1.5 or 2 income stream budget.
In the meantime, the minimal-skill-required jobs earn a minimal wage. I know - I had one- my first "real" job. I was a sales clerk in an art store. Within a couple of months, my initiative was recognized and I became a department head for drafting equipment (this WAS way before CAD-CAM). A few months after that, I was the ordering/inventory contact for about 1/3 of the products in the store.. And a couple of months after that, I was a "closer" for the owner. I no longer had the minimum wage.

At one point it probably was so, but not anymore. Minimum jobs are being filled with millions of adults with kids and families to take care because certain situations have them to by force or unfortunate stuff happened were they end up working minimum wage jobs..
Age doesn't matter. If someone works then you pay what's fair and decent, not abuse them paying them to $2 dollars an hour and hoping some customer is generous enough to help them out.
It's what I deeply hate about conservatives. They tend to see life only through the lens of black or white when in reality there are many variables why things turned out the way they do for certain people..
- +1 y
The minimum wage is not $2 per hour.
- +1 y
Including tips its about minimum wage. Current minimum at $7 dollars is abuse. Minimum wage should keep up with inflation.
The federal minimum wage at this current moment should be at least $12.25 an hour and $15 by 2025. It's what is fair and decent to workers. - +1 y
Not that it makes that much difference, but the current Fed min wage is $7.25.
Let's say a novice table-wiper now makes $7.25 an hour. If the minimum wage doubles (just to keep the math simple for me), they'll get $14.50. Now, what happens when the company accountant who studied for years, got his/hers Master in Accounting, and became a CPA and who makes $80K/yr for their expertise and experience expects $160K/yr since wages are doubling? - +1 y
A salary of 80k a year is more than enough to live a very comfortable life.
Your logic of comparing a living decent wage for a minimum worker vs someone making 80K a year is ridiculous. - +1 y
Perfectly logical. You double some people, you double them all - have to be equal and not play favorites. It cuts both ways.

+1 yI’ll watch it some time, but I most likely won’t take the same stance as you. There are a lot of issues taking place in our economy right now, but it’s not just because capitalism is evil. Democrat social programs are designed to keep people in a endless cycle of poverty and the statistics show this. These are statistics based on decades of data. It’s based on incentives and disincentives.
I think we need to end the cronyism, deregulate, and stop creating stagflation by depreciating the US dollar so drastically. This would allow people to get ahead and actually benefit by participate in the economy The Democratic argument with economics is normative rather than factual. It’s based on morality rather than what factually works and what doesn’t. It’s incredibly frustrating watching politicians make these bold economic claims based on emotion and baseless promises. The people’s ignorance is constantly exploited. It’s all to create the framework that capitalism is evil and socialism is a morally correct utopia. It’s all an attempt for world leaders to grab more power.
You seem to be asking a lot of questions regarding economics as of late. I study finance and markets every day. I’ve taken a number of classes. It’s really interesting stuff if you ever find the time.
You can check out this lecture series audio book on audible if you’re interested. This is a reputable professor with no agenda or bias. He just breaks down economics in a really interesting and logical way. It will open your mind.

Immigrants and families who have been on welfare for generations.
“For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies.”
2 Thessalonians 3:10-11 ESV
Scripture is clear on this matter. Whoever is able to work not only should but shouldn’t eat if they refuse to do so.
How is it just to take food of my plate and my families plate to give to foreign nationals and the chronically lazy.
The time is long past to stop blaming imaginary racism and capitalism and for everyone to take responsibility for their lot in life and change what they don’t like instead of acting like a beta sissy and demanding everyone else pay their way in the world and that they’re owed a living. I hate the term but that’s how betas act. They need someone to hold their hand because they’re powerless chumps who are incapable of figuring out how to do for themselves.10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThey don't realise it there's a reason why the founding fathers only wanted landowners to vote. People who don't have any ties do not be allowed to vote there just going to vote for free stuff that makes it harder for everyone else to live because of high taxes. The politicians use these people to get into power very easily because you just have to promise some free stuff and now you have like 40% of the votes builtin. Then you go to some rich friends who will find your campaign for special deals with the government like no bid contracts. This allows corrupt politicians to easily get into power they give free stuff to the failures make everyone else pay for it give no bid contracts And regulations that give monopolies to the friends you keep repeating this over and over and that's how you get where we are now. You cannot stop this unless you stop allowing everyone to vote.

The Republican party has to go back to hell where it originated from. Their policies are the ones who keep these people getting abused by the system.

All you hear from the kings of bullshit is the COVID19BILL has past and they go on to say it is to open schools money relief help for business and one other thing. This accounts for just 9% of the 1.9 trillion dollars voted in for COVID 19 RELIEF the rest is foreign aid. The W. H. O. got hundreds of millions of dollars? FOR WHAT Pakistan and Iran tens of millions of dollars FOR WHAT? The chemical plant that loosed the COVID19 VIRUS received over 20 million dollars for what [ payment to loose the virus on the world. ] [By the Democratic Party ] IMPEACH BIDEN AND HARRIS THE DESTROYERS OF AMERICA.

The Bible commands you to live your own life in the Lord and not worry what others have. You’re failing as a Christian
- +1 y
Yeah whatever. Look what God's word says about those who financially exploit and abuse people. God will punish them for their evil.
The Bible commands to pay decent and fair wages to workers.
Colossians 4:1:
Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
James 5:1-6
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!
Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire.
You have heaped up treasure in the last days.
Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. - +1 y

@Everyone on this thread
Trump was for the working class. Gas prices have risen by 50 cents a gallon where I live since Trump left office. Trump fought for greater stimulus payouts but was shutdown by congress. He also successfully passed 2 stimulus bills. Yeah. People make fun of the amount we all received but let me ask you this. When was the last time you saw the feds giving money instead of taking it and at that giving it everyone, not just welfare cases in the form ot SSI. Trump cut taxes. The stock market was booming during Trump’s tenure. Yes, that’s good for big business. It’s also equally good for the little guy whose 401K is tied up in the stock market. That doesn’t count the record low unemployment numbers which resulted from a booming economy which everyone benefited from.
How anyone can say Trump wasn’t for the working man makes no sense to me nor does it line up with facts. To further more insinuate Biden cares for the working man is absurd. Ask the pipeline workers who he cares for more... trees... or working people. - +1 y
@Exterminatore: Trump inherited and benefited from Barack Obama policies as jobs under Obama were steady growing.
Did you ever focus and praised president Obama for the millions of jobs he created after several millions of jobs were lost under Bush Jr triggering a great recessions or all you ever do was focus your energy on splitting hairs on everything Obama didn't do right or failed to get done like Faux news does?
Not did Obama inherited a economic disaster but helped passed a very big stimulus bill that saved millions of Jobs as well the automobile industry in U. S. A.
Secondly, not every job is a good job. Many of the jobs under Trump were more of service low paying industry jobs like restaurants waiter and such.
Unlike you I can acknowledge somethings Trump did was good, but I don't blindly follow a man like many of do treating Trump as if he is a god that whatever he says must be right and true because he says it. 🙄

@Hispanic
Trump inherited from Obama’s policies? No. They had different policies. If Trump’s sucked you’d have seen the effect during his administration. Biden has been in for under 2 months. You can already see the effects of his policies.
Obama was the absolute worst president we’ve ever had. He pretty much didn’t do one thing right.
Every job is a good one when you don’t have one. I keep saying it. No one owes anyone else a living. If someone is unhappy with their wages then find a way to make more. Gain new skills and credentials. Make business contacts. Start your own business. Whatever. Only beta wimps can’t figure out how to make it when there’s nothing else wrong. Only beta wimps cry about the evils of capitalism and imaginary racism as their excuses for failures to achieve. I hate the term beta but that’s the truth of it. If someone doesn’t like being a waiter it’s incumbent on them to figure out how to earn more, NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT the governments duty to provide for them.
Most of what Trump did was excellent. I’m not in the Trump cult. I’ve said many times he acts like a child and is a malignant narcissist. The bottom line is his policies were sound and benefited the country.

But girl you are accusing me that I don't care about people in such situations when it's not true at all..
I was one of those people where I literally had $10 in my pockets where I literally had to choose to buy a Subway to eat for tonight or put those $10 into gas for the next few days so that I can go to work til my next pay check.
I know what is like being paid so little where my dinner was literally small 65 cents bag of chips and cheap candy to eat to have something in my stomach. - +1 y
