I didn’t really have any. If anything, I was probably the bully, lmao, but nothing too bad, just teenage jock fuckery. I’d hope anyone whose balls I busted would understand we were just dumb kids, and I’d certainly apologize for anything I may have done. There are really only a couple instances when I feel like I was a true bully in high school, and one of them stood up to me then and there. It didn’t amount to much, he grabbed my shirt, I grabbed his shirt and put him up on the wall, no blows were exchanged, and I knew I was ultimately the asshole in the situation, I was cutting the lunch line because we felt like our letterman jackets gave us that right🤦‍♂️ I just let him go after a quick glare and kept moving. So good on him for being a man about it, because I would’ve certainly destroyed the kid if we got to fighting. I respected that. But I mean... when you bring a BRIEFCASE to school everyday, you’re kind of asking to get fucked with, lmfao, not that it makes it right. But read the room, you know?😂

But yeah, maybe applying it to when I was younger and older and bigger guys would fuck with me... water under the bridge, man. If you’re holding onto your bullshit from your school years as an adult, whether you were a loser or the king/queen of the school, you’re doing life all wrong.

It's not about holding a grudge as an adult its about the effect that bullying in childhood has on your development as an adult. I am not one to hold grudges but being humiliated for 3 years about my appearance in high-school still has an effect on me today. It's a totally different world when you're the one looking up and not down at others

I gotcha, I can appreciate that. Well, I’m sorry to hear that you had a rough go of it. I know a good amount of people who are teachers nowadays, and the general consensus is that middle school and high school kids are the worst human beings on the planet, lmao. People are still figuring out who they are at those ages, even the ones who seem to have it all. Everyone is in some kind of emotional pain, and our egos (psychological “ego”, not like conceit “ego”) operate in the fight-or-flight part of our brains. So we do what makes us feel good, or more common, what makes us NOT feel bad. Unfortunately our brains aren’t fully developed yet at that age, and we often resort to making others feel bad in order to make us feel good, or at least distract from ourselves feeling bad. At the end of the day, we have to learn to love ourselves first and foremost, fuck the naysayers, and try to love or at least tolerate everyone else around us. Easier said than done, of course, but that should be the goal we’re all working towards👍

Yeah, we all have the capacity to be assholes but thankfully we grow out of it by college and start to act like humans not animals lel

I’ve forgiven them long ago, but that is something I did for myself, not for them.

I love the Anne Lamotte quote, “Not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die.”

Excusing them is another story. No, they are not excused unless they earnestly apologize in full realization of the damage they did. But, because they are forgiven, I don’t sit around steaming and waiting for their apology.

The main pack of high school bullies which I had to face, and who eventually successfully got me expelled due to the school's stance that "we can't afford a public scandal, YOU have to be discredited to prevent THEIR crimes from ever coming to light", were led by about five of my classmates, all of whom were either the sons or younger brothers of the founding ringleaders of these two groups:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxford_child_sex_abuse_ring
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherham_child_sexual_exploitation_scandal
And whilst they themselves have never faced prosecution themselves (here in Slough, there's nothing the Pakistani gangs can't get away with, and the TVP literally refuse to even investigate, for fear of "starting a race war"), everyone knows full well that my high school bullies (who singled me out as a target after I refused to join them in their 'after-school activities', and condemned them when they were waxing lyrical about how it was "so fucking awesome to pin down and gang-bang little primary schoolgirls, whilst they screamed and cried their little eyes out") never stopped, and have taken over the family business themselves, now that their dads and big brothers are on the inside.

So NO, I haven't forgiven them. And I never will. Would you?

Do you think I should "forgive my high school bullies now", when the whole reason they chose to be my bullies was because I was stronger than them, could hold my own in a fight against them (or anyone else), and chose to take a stand against them after I turned down my classmate's offer to "hook you up with a nice, pristine little 7yo virgin girlfriend" in exchange for being his primary enforcer- which he responded to by coming in the next week with a video on his smartphone of him and four others brutally gang-banging the poor little girl (because "you turned down the chance, you could've had her all to yourself, so it's your fault we did this to her, YOU're responsible for her suffering"), and laughing about how "you're such a fucking virgin loser, how could you NOT get turned on by fucking a pre-teen girl's holes until they bleed while she screams and bawls her eyes out, what are you, GAY?" Do they deserve forgiveness, in your eyes?

There was a guy in highschool (gangster thug) who sucker punched me at a party. Many years later I found him in a very compromised spot having been just released from prison. I had the chance to kick the living shit out of him and I seriously contemplated it. I walked up to him and realized how pathetic he was and decided to give him a pass.
