Read the fine print. There's always fine print. Beware of variable APR's. Beware of hidden fees and beware of hidden clauses that give them the excuse to increase the APR far above what might appear to be the maximum. A friend of mine financed a car and the payments were supposed to be $150 a month but all of a sudden they shot up to $600 a month after six months. There was a hidden clause that said that they could increase the payments to anything they wanted to after six months if the prime rate went up by more than 0.1%. So the prime rate went up and they quadrupled the payments and she couldn't pay and they repossessed her car.
