Nope. Sorry but I don't really feel safe having a women protect me. Like if my life is in danger I rather a man be fighting to protect me. I'd feel safer. Women to me just aren't strong enough for that in my opinion.
I agree with you. I have seen too many videos of men knocking down and pushing off women cops effortlessly, but so many believe in equality... Just the way we belive, even if dumb. Like really dumb and wreckless.
@Qdbrown I guess I'm kinda a dick. I don't think women are equal at all to men in this way. We just aren't. We are not nearly as strong as men physically. I refuse to believe if given the option if you're stuck n a fire and a women or man is the one who has to go grab you out that everyone isn't picking the man
@Ninjazzed It's not just about knowing how to operate artillery. And it's called heavy artillery for a reason, there's some artillery that a woman wouldn't be able to operste. If something big falls on top of your mate, how are you supposed to lift it up? if your mate receives a gun shot wound or any type of wound, how do you expect to carry him for miles to save his life? A bloke that might be 2 times heavier than you. If a dude from the enemy comes and beats the shit out of you, more times than not, you won't be able to stop him, because whether we like it or not, generally speaking men are physically stronger. It depends on technique and some men might be a bit smaller so not as strong or heavy, but generally speaking it's the other way around. There's no shame in admiting that a man is physically stronger. It's biologically like that. Just as biologically we're emotionally stronger and designed to go through the pain of birth
The fact you ladies have to explain such obvious facts in such a polite way to avoid being chastised... you may not know your place but you know what isn’t... I don’t wanna see women die as a man. And I don’t wanna put my life in the hands of a woman who’s not up to the same standards as the rest of the crew. However if a woman can pass the male standards test I say let her compete. But I don’t like weakness in the military. Respect to women but very few women’s place is in combat.
He’s generalizing @neko911. From what we see, women overall are fighting for equality. I hate that word. Men and women are not equal. Hell 2 men are not equal. We have strengths and weaknesses we should play on and working together we can be strong in twice as much.
I’m pretty sure he agrees it’s refreshing to see a woman that knows what she can and can’t do.
Normally I’d say no but... since they think they’re equal to men and since they want equal rights to men (as if in America they don’t already have more rights and privileges then men) then they should have all the responsibilities a man has... like being drafted and getting their tits shot off.
@Avicenna yeah I live on a military base so I see how many soilders there are that are ready to deploy at anytime so the whole draft thing seems silly to me since the military seems to have enough to cover themselves without having to draft in randoms.
you shouldn't say a shortsighted thing like that. we don't need a draft NOW, it doesn't mean we never will. the past 75 years have been the most peaceful time in history... that won't last. we will need great armies someday;maybe
@Exterminatore yeah I'm not into that feminist shit. I'm a stay at home mom and I never have any desire to work so the equality thing isn't something I care about
@Unbeatable that is really a ludicrous thought. The military is stronger than its ever been. They truly would never need to drag in randoms that have no training under their belt.
We should just end the draft. Period. If there is another draft that includes ages beyond 26, then I'll move to Canada so that I won't be thrown in the slammer. I don't even want to be forced to join the army and be sent to a dangerous warfare where I could be killed. I'd rather have a better life than a miserable one.
For starters im not sexiest. But sence woman think they should be equally afforded the ability to join the military. I feel they should have the same responsibility as men. And yes that includes that they are requied to register for the draft just like your male counter parts!
Yes but the draft shouldn’t exist. War isn’t a good thing, it’s not something you should force people to do. Plus isn’t there a high sexual assault rate in the military? How are women supposed to be fight the enemy and their allies?
War is a reality. It will happen again. Just because it has been more than 7 decades since the last real world war, the nukes only prolong the inevitable.
Conscription is inevitable. Especially if a war ever starts within our own boundaries we assume no enemy will try. That's when they attack you. When everyone feels safe.
War is all about the supplier getting paid, and someone usually instigates so countries can go to war and regardless win or lose somebody has to pay!!. If countries have beef, let each president of the parties involved get in the ring and slug it out or get along, bitches
It makes no sense to me to force anyone to do anything against their will. Say the economy desperately requires more teachers. I don't think people should be forced into teaching against their will. There are alternative solutions like offer teachers more pay and make the job more attractive. Say the birth rates are declining to a dangerous level. I don't think people should be forced to have kids. It is strange to me that many people, who might agree with the above statements, think it's okay to force people to work as soldiers.
To be clear, I am not some hippie anti-war type. I think military service is a very noble profession worthy of tremendous respect and decent compensation. I am in favor of encouraging civic virtues. It's like I have nothing against picking cotton. I'm just against slavery and forcing people to do it against their will for table scraps.
Yes and if they aren't put on the front lines that men should strike/refuse to fight. Todays women don't provide what yesterdays women did which is more children. I would like to see massive disobedience if women aren't killed at the same rate as men. They already outnumber men because they aren't expected to do what men do. That needs to change immediately
Equal rights, equal fights. They fought for years to be treated exactly like men. Time to bite some bullets just as well as enjoying some fantomatic social privileges.
This is literally hilarious. Women - “we want equal rights to men.” Women - “we want equal pay to men.”
Ok women equal rights and pay come with equal responsibility, you’ll have to register with selective service to be drafted when you turn 18.
Women - “there shouldn’t be a draft.”
Scroll up and down. Multiple women are quick to state there shouldn’t be a draft.
Just when I thought I couldn’t have any less respect for modern women you harlots proved me wrong.
This is what I posted on several women’s comments, all except the ones who blocked me. I’m not know for being nice or caring if I offend someone.
Anyway, I’m a vet and you’re a vet. I’m politically conservative and I think you are too. I’m curious what you think of these modern women who don’t seem to know their role and place in society and in the home. These same women who clamor on for equality, as if they don’t already have it while not being willing to accept equal responsibility. That’s not equality!
In truth I’m against drafting women, women serving in combat arms or women serving in the military in most roles because they are a liability to the men and mission accomplishment.
I suppose what I’m asking is how is it fair and right and true and just to demand equal rights but not accept equal responsibility?
@Exterminatore: First of all, all, a draft is a Crazy idea since the vast majority of adults are not fit for military service and couldn’t even be utilized anyway. The idea of a draft is based on badly-outdated military docttrinr that bears no resemblance to what any future wars would be like.
Second, women obviously have at least equal rights to men, and generally greater in family law, which is gynocentric. And given the proliferation of single moms, it’s simply ridiculous to suggest that single moms are en masse suitable for wartime military service. Just to give an example as to why, here’s what a single mom in my unit experienced: when she got pregnant while doing peacekeeping (wasn’t married or even in a relationship), and had to be evacuated back to Germany, and during future field exercises and deployments, had to bring her infant /toddler to a child care provider. Essentially, she had to turn over the raising of her daughter to strangers. Now consider what would happen on a much larger scale if women who didn’t want to be drafted are.
Drafts are necessary to fill gaps people won’t voluntarily. Currently we don’t need one. Maybe in the future we will.
Conventional war is still entirely a possibility though admittedly everything has been low intensity sine WW2.
I get it about the single moms. Still don’t care. I want to see modern women exhibit an understanding of true equality for once, and for once... just once exhibit accountability.
Jack Nicholson’s character in As Good As It Gets plays an author with OCD who writes romance novels. When a female fan in the movie asked him how he manages to write women so well he replied: “I think of a man and take away reason and accountability.” As hilarious as that is it’s only funny because it’s true these days.
@Exterminatore: War against China is likely to be very asymmetrical and very different from what you're thinking of. And the idea of a land war in East Asia or occupation? Never going to happen. We need hackers of all sorts against China and Iran as well as navy personnel and equipment rather than infantry or MPs.
China and Russia are probably the top 2 candidates for conventional war possibilities.
No, I think infantry and armored vehicles will be huge. Can’t fight a war without boots on the ground to capture territory and nobody is capturing territory without full scale war.
@Exterminatore: I hope you don't really think that would be part of any war against China. Cyberwarfare against China and Russia is much more likely than a shooting war. Maybe you should ask the French and German infantry of Napoleon and Hitler how well invading Russia worked for them.
Again equal liberty and rights come with equal responsibility... or maybe women should go back to raising children and making houses into homes as God designed them to do and stop trying to be men.
@Exterminatore: I strongly disagree with your premises about war with China or Russia and you're obviously just being passive aggressive because you're mad at misandrist feminists. People have equal rights regardless of whether or not they can or should serve in the military. Nor is the training capacity there to train untold millions of women should they be drafted. Are you at least going to exempt mothers?
You’re welcome to you’re opinion. I’m not being passive aggressive. It’s not within my constitution to be so. Aggressive, yeah, but never passive aggressive.
No exemptions for anyone. We don’t exempt fathers. All I’m saying is equality. What men do, women should do.
Then we come to you. Practically the only woman commenting on this question that does think women and men should be drafted. My hats off to you ma’am and as a veteran who served in war I salute you for not being a hypocrite.
I don’t necessarily agree with conscription though. I think you should have the option to join the military but conscription if absolutely necessary (e. g. another world war) can include any gender
a study by westpoint found that for every 100 males we recruit and train we get 78 soldiers on average. for every 100 women we train we get 8 soldiers on average
time spent training women would be better spent training more men
Only the feminists who claim to want equality (but who we all know don't).

It isn’t hard to operate a gun, regardless of sex.
How did you come to this conclusion?
So the existing female soldiers are all chopped liver to you?
@Ninjazzed It's not just about knowing how to operate artillery. And it's called heavy artillery for a reason, there's some artillery that a woman wouldn't be able to operste. If something big falls on top of your mate, how are you supposed to lift it up? if your mate receives a gun shot wound or any type of wound, how do you expect to carry him for miles to save his life? Ah but give women all the benefits without any responsibilies. Of course.
@WAT88 did i ever say women deserve any benefits? Because I'm positive I didn't say anything along that line
He’s generalizing @neko911. From what we see, women overall are fighting for equality. I hate that word. Men and women are not equal. Hell 2 men are not equal. We have strengths and weaknesses we should play on and working together we can be strong in twice as much.

No but the draft in general shouldn't even be a thing anyways.
Quite true
@Avicenna yeah I live on a military base so I see how many soilders there are that are ready to deploy at anytime so the whole draft thing seems silly to me since the military seems to have enough to cover themselves without having to draft in randoms.
Agree 1005 (I'm a veteran, by the way).
@Avicenna thank you for your service! Which branch?
Thanks. Army.
@Avicenna very cool my hubby is army too
you shouldn't say a shortsighted thing like that. we don't need a draft NOW, it doesn't mean we never will. the past 75 years have been the most peaceful time in history... that won't last. we will need great armies someday;maybe

@Exterminatore yeah I'm not into that feminist shit. I'm a stay at home mom and I never have any desire to work so the equality thing isn't something I care about
That’s awesome. I love traditional women such as yourself but have nothing but disdain for modern women.
It has to be a thing to force people into service when troops are needed
Well see about that when the first half the army gets killed in a war. And who says this incoming war can't last for decades.
@Unbeatable that is really a ludicrous thought. The military is stronger than its ever been. They truly would never need to drag in randoms that have no training under their belt.
@Apple1996 the greatest mistake of any generation is to think the current trend of things will continue to be the trend of things
We should just end the draft. Period. If there is another draft that includes ages beyond 26, then I'll move to Canada so that I won't be thrown in the slammer. Where I live in Canada, woman can volunteer to join the military but they cannot be forced into it.
I agree with that!
Hahaha nice sexism.
@Allie2468 because you are a sexist. Very typical for females. They are the sexist gender.
No, but I don't think men should be either. I don't think anyone should be involuntarily forced to participate in a war.
It makes no sense to me to force anyone to do anything against their will. Say the economy desperately requires more teachers. I don't think people should be forced into teaching against their will. I selected no, and would have selected the same if the question had been about whether men should be included in a draft.
lefty women sure, right leaning women should stay and bear conservative children so common sense and decency can live on.
Somehow I fully support this lmao!
Equal rights, equal fights.
They fought for years to be treated exactly like men. Time to bite some bullets just as well as enjoying some fantomatic social privileges.
No one should be drafted but if the draft is going to exist it should include everyone
It’s an insane idea, especially for women who are parents

I don’t necessarily agree with conscription though. I think you should have the option to join the military but conscription if absolutely necessary (e. g. another world war) can include any gender

Me too!
If you mean be registered with the selective service (like men) at age 18... yes.
I say this because I believe in equal rights between men and women.
