I only defend traditional women. If a woman wants to act like a man & start trouble with men (and others) in public for sport then she's on her own. I won't let them use that vagina as a 'do anything I want to' card.

Not to mention they like to put women like me down who want to and enjoy being the stay at home mom, with her primary job being RAISING HER CHILDREN!

It's just a simple matter of equality. If women are going to be (rightly so) allowed in to the military, then if there is a wartime draft they should be equally, and in the same roles employed.

This is literally hilarious. Women - โ€œwe want equal rights to men.โ€ Women - โ€œwe want equal pay to men.โ€

Ok women equal rights and pay come with equal responsibility, youโ€™ll have to register with selective service to be drafted when you turn 18.

      Women - โ€œthere shouldnโ€™t be a draft.โ€

Scroll up and down. Multiple women are quick to state there shouldnโ€™t be a draft.

Just when I thought I couldnโ€™t have any less respect for modern women you harlots proved me wrong.

@Exterminatore women are not good fighters. Even if you draft women, itโ€™s only gonna weaken the military force and put the lives of their male counterparts

Guys in the military wonโ€™t be happy with women infiltrating the ranks.

Itโ€™s kinda like saying that all men should be nurses like women. Itโ€™s only gonna provide inferior nursing services cus males are just not as good as females when it comes to caring / nurturing

You canโ€™t discriminate or bully women based on things that are beyond their control.

Itโ€™s kinda like saying men commit more crime than women so all men should be discriminated against and shouldnโ€™t have right to vote

@Exterminatore yeah equal rights. Nobody should be forced to go to war. If you want to then you can male or female. But i don't understand why this is the one thing men hold onto when countering women wanting equal rights, there hasn't been a draft in over 50 years is this really something on your mind on a daily basis?

Because itโ€™s one demonstration of equality. Women are widely know to have greater rights and privileges then men.

If you want the same rights as men you must accept equal responsibility. Titanic sinking? No more women and children first. Now itโ€™s 1 male for every 1 female in the available life boats. No more opening doors. Open your own doors. No more paying for everything on dates. You pay for your half and no more getting out of the draft. You want equality then you get all of equality not just the parts you want.

This argument is used to demonstrate the hypocrisy of you women who want freedoms and rights but not responsibilities.

Iโ€™m just trying to get you to acknowledge the hypocrisy of wanting rights without responsibilities and show you that you arenโ€™t interested in equality because if you were your response would be ๐Ÿ‘ to being to being drafted the same as men, but itโ€™s not.

Look respond how you like. I canโ€™t continue this conversation any longer. You know what equality means and you know itโ€™s perfectly fair to expect you to have all the responsibilities men have if you want the liberties and rights men have.

@Exterminatore At least youโ€™re honest about being a chauvinistic pig, and painfully so.

But granted women have more access to high-risk jobs in the military, they are usually placed in IT or medical positions. These are much better fits compared to being used as another meat shield on the front line. Nobody ever said it was absolutely mandatory for women to serve as grunts or infantry.

@nella965 @Exterminatore neither of you from the posts on this thread, appear to have a clue on just where women are involved in the military.

You also do not obviously understand the asymmetric function of modern warfare.

Take a basic patrol out in Helmand Province in Afghan.

This could be Marines, Paras or say Rifles all male units, however walking alongside them, carrying same kit will be maybe a female EOD operator, a female combat medic, a female liaison officer.
When fire comes in they all return fire, banging out rounds with their SA80โ€™s.
Someone gets hit, itโ€™s the female medic dodging bullets to go and treat a wounded friend.
They call in CAS and itโ€™s a female pilot from a number of nations that drops in the ordnance.

The way the US has the draft needs rejigged you cannot simply shove fresh meet in to a technologically advanced meat grinder.
Yes you can use them to back fill rear slots and free up active duty and reserve personnel.

But never doubt the role of women in modern warfare, it is very active and very much on the frontline, as that frontline is all over the place.

      @ninja

So youโ€™re calling me a chauvinistic pig and racist and blah blah blah. Am I supposed to be offend? That only works with people who care what you think of them.

IT and medical is not as high risk as combat arms and they have access to every job in the military.

Mentally unequal- maybe. How about emotionally unequal. You ladies are primarily emotional or relational reasoners who have difficult enough times understanding your own emotions let alone navigating through them. Youโ€™re simply not fit for certain jobs not to mention difference in pain tolerance, hight, weight, strength and stamina and ability to withstand damage. Thatโ€™s the bottom line.

Feminism exists to suit narcissistic and grandiose women who want to use politics to gain advantages that the rest of the population doesnโ€™t get. Like skipping out on the draft but still getting equal liberty and rights.

We donโ€™t allow children the same rights as adults for a reason. Neither should we allow equal rights to emotional reasoners who canโ€™t figure out themselves often enough. You keep trying to be men when youโ€™re not and failing miserably at it. God created you with a specific purpose in mind and trying to be a man and take on the responsibilities assigned to the man isnโ€™t it. Women are equally valuable as men but they do have a different role. Their role is to make a house in a home and be the primary raiser of children if they are married and have children. They are not to have spiritual authority over a man, they were not created to lead. If you donโ€™t like it, take it up with God.

You can rage and be angry and hurl insults at me all you like. Believe me I donโ€™t care. Iโ€™m actually taking compassion on you and trying to save you from working so hard to try to offend me or anger me or correct me. None of those will happen. I will remain as indifferent as I am now. By all means if you must call me names try to insult me do whatever of you feel you must, just know youโ€™re wasting your efforts.

      @Chirs

Where you in the military? If so the American military?

Simply put I donโ€™t agree with you, and frankly I donโ€™t believe women belong in most military jobs especially combat roles.

At the time I was in the service there were no women in combat MOS (jobs), and Iโ€™m thankful for that as I have witnessed first hand how much they generally suck at these jobs.

We had no women in my unit. Periodically and admittedly very rarely a woman officer would be a guest to accompany us on a hump (forced March). They never carried a full combat load. Every time we kept the hump to just 10 miles. This was the least amount weโ€™d ever hump. Weโ€™d even slow the pace purposely at the COโ€™s command because we knew theyโ€™d fall out and not finish and we didnโ€™t want to embarrass them or be accused of purposely trying to ware their asses out. Guess what? 100% of the time they fell out to the point of not completing the hump.

They had piss poor shooting skills. They had to qualify with rifles once a year, same as us. Many had to requalify several times because they failed.

Bear in mind this is all only training in a non deployed status. I shudder to think what would have happened if weโ€™d had half a platoon of women.

Joan of Arc was unique to history. One special and rare woman. The military is no place for grand social experiments. Thatโ€™s what will end up in more deaths and more wounded.

So, you can give me the sales pitch all you want. I saw what I saw. I been to war and I know that itโ€™s an idea thatโ€™s going to get a lot of people killed... not to mention reduce their combat effectiveness when half your platoons are pregnant and the other half have men waiting to stand trial on false rape accusations and sexual harassment claims.

@Exterminatore yes I was, I was out at Iraq (Basra mainly) and Afghan mainly Bastion and Kandahar but also tours at Al Udeid, Saudi, Kuwait and Bahrain.

So you had no dog handlers, no EOD, No medics?

Yes for certain ops and strikes it will be frontline infrantry which will be guys.

However for routine patrols, keeping the peace and showing the flag, itโ€™s a normal mix of bodies.
You can have and do have girls as dog handlers, EOD, Medics, Valon (mines) operators etc.

The Chinook pilot or gunners may be girls, those are the ones you call in for a casevac or quick extract.

Also for shooting skills, itโ€™s no wonder if you have such poor marksmanship skills, everyone in the UK forces has to do a qualifying and judgmental shoot before every armed duty. That for me was equating to a full qualifying shoot every 3 months and Iโ€™m not infantry,
They almost live on ranges and live fire exercises etc.

I guess you were in Iraq or Afghan then, which if so I consider strange as I worked along side Americans there and they definitely had girls as part of deployments, I shared a lift with a bunch from green zone to Balad.

You are entitled to your opinions, however they are rather antiquated and single part of the battle space. Modern warfare is simple not FEBA, itโ€™s far more fluid.
Speaking of which I did notice a few Trans in the US forces, respect to you lot for being so forward thinking,

Well I guess weโ€™ll just have to agree to disagree at this point. We had no women with us on either of the deployments I went on. No dog handlers. No EOD. I was infantry. We did have corpsmen (navy medics) they were all males.

I was in before the war on terror. We did a combat mission where we were deployed in Eritrea, Africa which resulted in evacuating the US embassy, some US citizens and some foreign nationals while the embassy was continually and โ€œmistakenlyโ€ strafed by Ethiopian fighters. We didnโ€™t receive any terrestrial fire on that one though there was some pretty intense firefights between the Eritreans and Ethiopians a few hundred yards away.

I was in Operation Southern Watch which eventually turned into Operation Iraqi Freedom. On that one we received a lot of sniper fire. They didnโ€™t get any of us we got all of them. The SEALS picked off several of them with sniper fire of there own. We also killed a heard of camels with 60mm white phosphorus mortar rounds as terrorists who were pretending to be bedouins were shooting at us from within the heard of camels. Let me tell you man, that stench was disgusting. That was also the first time I got to watch an air strike from about 1k out. 500 lbs bombs are impressive. Felt like an earthquake when they hit even being a kilometer way.

Also lit up a VW van full of Bedouins in Jordan who blew past our centuries with a M2 .50 cal. Admittedly I found it shocking what a.50 cal will do to a human body. limbs were completely blown off and guts and brains were everywhere inside that van which caught fire and no one survived before it did anyway. Looked like somebody threw those people into a blender, then dumped them out inside the van.

TBH it probably was no where near as intense as what you experienced in Iraq and Afghan. Pretty low intensity over all.

We had no pilots who were girls. The only place I saw women was in Bahrain at the ASU. They were MPโ€™s but I donโ€™t think they saw any action.

@Exterminatore yep.50 cal and 30mm etc deplete humans and any thin skinned body or vehicle to bits.

We did a lot of BDA post strike and itโ€™s amazing how far body parts travel.

by the way I shoot.50 cal here

@Exterminatore ballistics are fun. I did a tour on Crash and Smash who work closely with Air Accident Investigation lot, basically we were there to pick up aircraft parts and body parts that had hit the ground at over 200mph etc or. If in a military jet maybe 500mph, those big meat soups are pretty close

Funny thing is, military men do not want women to be fighting next to them. The military will fight to the death of it, to prevent more women from coming in. Even in the military right now, the men generally do not appreciate the female soldiers being there. There is a ton of discrimination, misogyny, sexual assaults', lack of respect towards female suprierors.

What makes you think that women will ever be drafted? your fellow men do not want them there.

I don't believe that equality is what you're really seeking. You're just angry that women are no longer under the patriarchal control of men so now you're looking for every opportunity to hurt women.

This is you: "Ohhh,, if you're too weak to fight in war, then men have right to take away your right to vote, to be president, to work a career."

And truth is, women do not start wars anyways. It is men who start wars. If men are gonna start wars, it is men who should finish the war.

      @nella965 erm wtf

I was in the military, we do appreciate women, some great engineers are women.

This is not about people fighting next to people.

Warfare has changed, there is often not much of a front line.

You can have a female doing top cover for a logistics convoy or even a deployment.

The medic coming under fire could be male or female as could the EOD operator.

Iโ€™ve had women pilots that Iโ€™ve been chatting to as they crew in to go on a sortie.

Both sexes have shit officers or personnel.

A lot of the female officers are actually good, because they had to be that much better simply to get there.

Iโ€™ve had female superiors plenty times, an officer is an officer.

It really does not matter what sex the other person is when you are listening to rockets coming in and wondering how your end of detachment splat map will look.

No one is looking for equality bollox, you just want someone with you to share the burden, to help carry the food, the Mail, put the work in, have a laugh and joke.

Yes there is assaults, yes itโ€™s shit with bullying etc, that is a small minority though.

Iโ€™ve worked with Aussies, Kiwis, French, Italians, Germans, Canucks and Americans, it is definitely worse for females in the US forces.
I worked with a shit load of US females in the Green Zone and Al Udeid, the women preferred hanging with the Brits, Aussies and Kiwis than hanging around the American but at the Bra.

The people of the receiving end of the stuff coming down range donโ€™t give a shit of the shooters sex.
The Russians have managed fairly well with female fighters, I think WW2 should how well they fought.

Women are not appreciated in the military. And there is a reason why we are this far into the modern times yet women are still PREVENTED from serving in infantry or the front lines. Women are PREVENTED from serving in infantry, not that there are no women wanting to serve in infantry. Men do not want women there, as less competent soldiers , will ENDANGER THE LIVES OF THE ENTIRE MILITARY FIGHTING FORCE.

You need to take a look before you leap. If you force incompetent nurses into the healthcare industry, it will ENDANGER THE LIVES OF PEOPLE. If you put in incompetent soldiers , you will ENNDAGER THE LIVES OF ALL SOLDIERS AND WEAKEN YOUR OWN MILITARY FIGHTING FORCE, WHICH WILL ALSO THREATEN YOUR NATIONAL SECURITY.

@nella965 erm women can serve in the infantry.

But thatโ€™s not the point there are 3 services.
      Army
      Navy
      Air Force

I assume you have zero military knowledge due to this constant reference to soldiers.

A avionics staff sergeant on Army Air Corp for 6 deployments to Afghan is a female.
A bunch of others on the same AAC Sqn are also women.
You simply do not understand asymmetrical warfare and the modern combat zone.
You do not understand that various trades with each force will spend to stagging on guard duty, fully armed up.
You do not understand the actual make up of the support and active combat units within the military from Reaper pilots, to tanker crew to Typhoon and Chinook or Apache crews.
From chefs, combat medics, door gunners, armourers, EOD operators, these are all mixed sexes, and countless others.

Note using soldiers as to become to all three services.

@ChrisMaster69 Women are not allowed to serve in many places in the military despite the number of women wanting to get in. and the reasoning behind this is CLEAR: Women are not competent enough to enter these specialized units. No military is gonna significantly lower their standards just for this "equality", as they know it would only endanger everyone else's lives.

No number of extra links is gonna prove that women are just as competent in fighting as men

@nella965 you are sounding more and more like one of these โ€˜Alphaโ€™ women hating guys.

You simply do not at even a basic level understand the military and how it operates. These Specialist Units you mention, would likely never take anyone from the draft anyhow, so itโ€™s a bit moot.

Yes women in purely infantry WW3 type combat will not happen, zero problem with thst.

However there will be and actually are now at this moment in time, women operating along side them as drivers, medics, gunners, EOD, Intelligence, forward air controller, etc, literally loads of roles operating in the FEBA.

There are Battle Space officers who are female, tanker drivers, Reaper operators, Iโ€™ve worked along side BDA people who are yes female.

Then back again to this pointless draft thing, modern warfare is not suited to giving someone 12 weeks basic and giving them a rifle.

This appears to be your very male way of thinking, anyone male or female from this draft idea would be a liability,

Again, you are coming across as a GUY of about 50 who is anti women, as at no point have you said โ€˜yeah women are doing those roles really well but we are not strong enough to Tab with a full Bergen, due to our pelvic bone structure.

The arguments you have used Iโ€™ve seen time and time again from MEN who never want to admit in some roles women are actually really good.

So Yeah, you are basically a guy pretending to be a pink so you can slag off, put down other pinks.

You entire argument through it is very male and very lacking in knowledge.
