Have you ever noticed this. Since the internet became mainstretam, that people became more full of hate?

You see more people talking and spreading hate. And more hate groups pop up.
Like when I was a kid there was only two major hate groups. The KKK and the Black Plathers.

Now we have LGBTQ, AARP, BLM, Democrates, Repuplicans, people that drive Fords, and so on

Like this morning I heard this and I am not making this up.

Yeah because they can take out their pathetic toxic nonsense online behind a screen. Also because it gave any tom dick and harry a platform. The internet has many positives but social media is mostly just bad. I would say social media is 90% bad. The only good may be that people can get penpals to learn new languages or connect with their families abroad. The connecting with strangers aspect causes more harm than good. People get abused, scammed and at worst killed. All sorts of shit goes down because of this virus called social media.

I don't think people became more hateful because of the internet.  I think people just became more vocal and open about it.  Especially with the opportunity to be anonymous.

The more you put people together, the more differing opinions you get. The more differing opinions, the more "factions" you create. The more factions, the more conflicts. The longer the conflict goes, the harsher it becomes.
And then you have modern society. Nothing to call mom for.

The internet makes it possible for more people to share their opinions.
Anonymity helps but I think peopple are beginning to not care asbout as they find others who share their opinion.

That includes opinions that they would have had to keep to themselves.

I think a lot of answers kind of sum it up on here, people are just more vocal about the hate they've already had.

I'm sure there are trolls who deliberately post dumb shit just to get a reaction, saying stuff they don't mean or believe in, but I don't feel like there's as much of them out there compared to general, hateful people.
